Gottlieb, 1961My biggest regret now was not taking more pictures back in the day. Course then space was more finite and more expensive. I have pictures of some playfield shots from years ago but none of the cabinets or backglass. Or a combination of something else and lacking another.
My storage organization was lacking too and I think I deleted some folders by accident as well.
Memories are the best things next to pictures. Unfortunately with time those can fade away too. Just have to make more!

Making a little more progress; this is work after work stuff for me;
Prepping for the prelim topside, then bite the bullet and dive into the bottom.
polishing the rails. Light sand/ scratch pad with naptha, cleaning vs. removing chrome plate. buff with white compound….give this gal the best smile in her
One day the original pf gets restored; but super happy for products like micro’s here.
So far the prep on the pf, bolt openings, screw holes, mill and post work are nice and tight!
German quality here.

It's odd that they removed the chrome around the score displays but added it around the people.
Let this stuff wash over poker night.
(Down four bucks with the big boys; mixed loose and tight, doubled up, and reload with double up coupled with folded blinds
You can really tell what’s salvageable and what’s not.
Rust and metal degradation and the lack thereof are amplified after the wash.
Old pop skirts, 1 inch posts, and rusty crap, go into the pile of parts for a desperate moments or chrome glorification.
T nuts in place, plastics arrived… time to hit metal and start posts topside, and then go back to dark and populate the upside down.
Hoping to be ready to go mid next week.

It’s sort of overwhelming nice to be near the end.
A couple loose screws to tame , then bottom down. Next plastic protectors, ramps, rubbers, plastics, warm comets, 10-20 solder joints, refill, and contour cab puddy, repaint, diags, play test, BOOM.
Apx. 20hours so far, will be 30 end to Enron my fist swap. So far, Marco’s playfield has been pre-drilled and set well. He gave me a too 10 stock of. I’m appreciate that, and will full due craftsmanship.
Still need to clean rebuild flippers hardware.

Just woke up from a long overdue nap.
Trip recap; 1400 miles; 24 hours road time, end to end 31….mpls, Milwaukee, Chicago, Decatur, IL, Naperville, Hudson, Minneapolis.
Spent about 30 minutes on each stop getting to know fellow collectors, and getting some very nice tours and hospitality.
Saw a Geiger Laretta which is modded theme built on high speeds’ base, a nice ‘62 tbird, tons of signs, man caves, love meters, some fortune tellers (nfs, and sorry no pics allowed), and several great examples of classic games from white waters to the only HEP Alien.
For sale things along the way…pirates LE, big bucks, redemption devices, golden tee home pedestal, cactus canyon se (Nib) to name a few.
Came across a few heavy hitters, and fellow road warriors, who share the same drive and love. Some pictures, some not. I always ask permission for pics and also respect folks privacy, when desired.

I’m cautiously optimistic. One thing is consistent; the last 2% is 20% of the effort.

Rebuilt one flipper to test. Strong as heck now. On to the rest, plus fresh rubbers and chance to remove ramps, plastics, and get to more of the playfield.
Hit the gi with comet warm frosted all the way. Still need to hit inserts. The game is all there except purple/purple white gi circuit. Have to see why that’s blowing.

Thanks to the advice of Pinball Plus (Mr. Ross), I was able to find the solder in one of the sockets. Picked that crap out and we’re good. Thank goodness, I made some circuit breaker fuses
Elvis should be up soon. Just waiting on my rubber kit. Loving the playfield sans shooter area. Inserts and clear are in very good shape.
Rebuilt all flippers, Tossed in the LOtR diode flipper coils on the main flippers, and I can backhand all the shots now
Elvis nearly done. Rebuilt flipper, pops, new rubbers, and deep cleaning. Addressed a few lamps and diodes, added LEds. Can Small dings filled in, then a touch of wet sanding and airbrush. Playfield and inserts are very good on this one.
