Quoted from brobra:Invaluable; wouldn’t trade it for anything
Well played sir!! I would expect nothing less.
Quoted from EJS:I’m sure the state has numbers on all of us for this.

2SMD frosted in GI.
1SMD clear, non-ghosting in inserts.
Looks Sharpe
Yea really like the illumination looks so different from the dark pf I’m used to.

That’s the tightest Whirlwind around. Don’t care about the cab which is nice, the pf and mechs are fully dialed in. It’s a treat to play.
Touched base with a friend to see what he was up to.
He’s rebuilding a corvette motor. Apparently they are super complicated and over built.
Also got a play on of one of the nicer original Getaways I’ve come across.
I know it will be for sale. Tempted to pay the fair price and keep it for myself.

Quoted from Dan1733:Little pachinko board in the head is pretty cool.....
That one is for sale, shoped or unshopped I believe; but I head a rumor it might be gone.
Initial assessment of JD: decent overall.
Cab is in good shape, not split or separating. Artwork is still vibrant with minimal damage.
Playfield is good. See a touch of insert edging and one hot dog slightly lifted.
Bank set up switches all show errors. Incorrect reset coil wiring I suspect.
Need to check some Gi also, as it looks partially out.
A couple rotten dogs; power driver, and fliptronics boards.
Next steps;
Vaccum
Clean inside cab
Puddy any cab dings
Hit the mechs and electric
Lower any inserts needed
Deep clean pf.
Check and replace rubbers
Give it a Brobra light job.

Gi fixed double checking wiring to J120
Reset coil for bank is setup correctly, but wired backwards. Optos for targets all register in test. Game is fully playable.
Quoted from cavalier88z24:It's got the topper!
The topper is in perfect shape
Always a bonus…
Quoted from brobra:The getaway rocks so hard!
I absolutely love my decked out HSII. Great fun and addicting pin! I think there are a lot more people looking for this pin now in nice shape.

Yeah, I’ve noticed a trend with the late 80s and early 90s games. That nice one the picture will be a 4500 game all day long, it has a gorgeous playfield, plays perfectly, and an extremely nice original cab.
Watching that ball whip around the track with the magnets is amazing. Great mech!
Wed 8/11 Loop from Mpls to Des Moines to Souix falls to Minneapolis. Possibly could swing a mega loop SF to Fargo then back to MPLS. PM with hauling needs up or down.

You’re adding Fargo in there? Oh man.
Quoted from Waxx:You’re adding Fargo in there? Oh man.
It would be a pretty long loop.
Quoted from Methos:Any plans to go out to Ohio in the near future?
Ohio 8/19 - 8/24, actually. Going to a wedding and going to trip with Mrs. Brobra.
Old decals coming off IJ. I don’t do decals anymore due to limited shop setup…plus to do it right is a chore.
I am more excited about this game than any other I have had in a while…
With all work going into it, I don’t think I’ll be able pass off any screaming deals…

Pretty happy with my revolving Bally/Williams lineup…
Finally got everything dialed in and shopped.
Had a few minor head scratchers reworking some bad wiring, and clearing out errors, but back to solid.
Need more warm or sunlight LEDs. Just dumped about $500 in comet’s across 3 games. I suppose that’s the price to get the lighting good.
I still think JD might need some auxiliary post spots to help.
I think demo man is my favorite of the bunch right now, but exploring JD and it’s growing on me for sure.
Quoted from brobra:Just dumped about $500 in comet’s across 3 games. I suppose that’s the price to get the lighting good.
Yeah Comet/ LEDs in general aren’t cheap but worth it in my opinion. I even do my EMs in warm. 2SMD for playfield GI and 1SMD for the backbox and some feature lights.
Quoted from brobra:I still think JD might need some auxiliary post spots to help.
I need to get some plays on that before it leaves I miss mine from years ago. Yeah I always thought the lighting was a bit awkward and needed a little help.

Man, that is a mid 90's dream lineup there. Lots of great memories in HS of those movies.

Come over. I need help on a buckaroo knocker
Quoted from gorditas:Man, that is a mid 90's dream lineup there. Lots of great memories in HS of those movies.
Yeah. It’s kind of a cool movie lineup. I’m digging it right now. I think they are all underrated and very cool builds.
JD has the Dead World mod and rom to lock ball in dead world, like the prototype its badass but the game gets confused if one drops because the trough expects less balls. I thought it was an error until I boned up on the subject….
Made a small adjustment to make Dead World reliable. Occasionally, a ball would not sit in the holder and roll out confusing the ball count in the trough. Pretty simple fix with a small rubber number inside the metal ramp that dispenses the ball.

That is cool. I don't think I've ever played that pin. I've found it at least once in the wild, but it was OTS.

Definitely growing on me.
Plugging BERD spoke company from Hopkins mn. A 1 kg front rim with onyx hub. 1.23 for rear. Took 3 days worth of work tensioning.
Soft spokes, badass….
You want the lightest rims in the world; I got you….

Amazing. Most people don't realize that spokes are made to be under tension, not compression. This proves it!
Quoted from fanuminski:you can use any extras for your shoe laces .. think of how light on your feet you will be!
Yeah. Air-Brobra.
