Novus 2, micro cloth, and generous elbow grease can make these dirty flippers clean up well.

I’m still anti hardtop. Newbie just got a EK and it was all bubbling. I was the one that had to tell him. It’s getting sorted but I noticed some lifting on another here also.
I didn’t like my Drac that had full playfield protector but only because dust gets under them around the switches. I’m very OCD about dust.
No worries. I had the character kit and platform, so I threw it on there. I don’t think you fouled out. Everyone has their preferences.

I’ve seen some bad overlays. But there’s a distinction between overlay vs hardtop.
Outer Edge hardtops are quite nice when installed correctly.
What I’ve seen, it’s not just about the hard top but it’s also who installs it. Needs to be done right. I played a black Knight with hard top and was one of the best playing BKs I’ve played.
At the end of the day I’d take a CPR playfield though.

I’m not bad at this game, so I’ll post a Brobra play and see how deep I can get.

It’s the most underrated game around, but the folks are figuring it out. It’s all fine example of a stern, well designed themed mofo of a game. Sorry, but it puts Zepplin to shame. I wouldn’t have made Zepplin with handcuffs on. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened. They they did the best they could; but Metallica is “what is” and Zepp is “what should never be”….

Just like anything else - the end result depends on how much prep work went into it. The entire PF needs to be sanded down and everything made level before the hardtop goes on.

Heh - soon! That pic is about where we are at. Im teaching my son how to restore a game and I’m just assisting. It’s going slower than if it were me due to having to find time for both of us to work on it at the same time.
