Tournament tonight! We will be playing the old standard High Score Tournament. Play all 5 games and the top 4 players will play a single final game. We start at 7:30pm.

I'm very thankful for the Brixie's Monthly and looking forward to tomorrow's tourney! What's the format? Turkey-appropriate three strikes? Pingolf with a raw turkey obscuring parts of the playfield on each machine?

5-frame pinbowling?
Match play isn't bad, but Pinbowling would be fun! Especially if you could decide your "frame" order to maximize points.
I will likely not be there tonight (mark me down as doubtful) but another thought is to cycle through the games twice for 10-frame bowling...which would you pick for that big 10th frame turkey?

It can very based on the game.
Now if we can get 5 ball play then there is a bit more room for goals.
Some games goals are fine others score works better.
Maybe even both front 9 back 9 Play each game 2 times once for score once for goals

I thought the Pingolf format for this past tournament was super fun - good mix of challenging and achievable. Hope it makes a return in the new year! Nice job, Scribble

Tonight we try out the fair/progressive strikes format! We will do 5/6 strikes depending on attendance.
This format gives one strike to second and third place, then two strikes to fourth place. The strikes in a three player group are 0/1/2.
The format is generally fairer to a three player group.
No game changes.
One more change, tournament entry is 5 dollars. No more opting out. IFPA dollar will be taken out of the 5 dollar entry fee.

Tomorrow, 5/21/2019, four player groups fair strikes format. We will do 4/5 strikes depending on attendance.
This format gives one strike to second and third place, two strikes to fourth place. Strikes in a three player group are 0/1/2.
Current lineup is Star Wars Premium, Iron Maiden Premium, Game of Thrones Premium (no spoilers), a most evil Medieval Madness and Monster Bash Remake.
Edit - 4 or 5 strikes. 6 strikes took too long.
Thanks everyone for showing up yesterday, it was a long one but fun! Don't let me change it to 6 strikes in the future!

Next month I'm adding a 10 dollar bounty. If you beat Andy to win the tournament you will get 10 dollars added to the 1st place prize.
I'll keep adding 10 dollars each month Andy is at our tournaments and wins until someone takes him down!

Tonight we are playing a four strikes fair strikes tournament.
If Andy actually shows up then there will be a 10 dollar bounty for the win.
