Hi,

I recently purchased a Motordome for my first pin. While I have a lot of things to do on it (need to install Titan rubbers, Comet LEDs, vacuum it, polish and wax it, etc,), I picked up some BrightButtons for it (blue for the flippers and a red for the start) from BriteMods: www.britemods.com/britebuttons-.html

Scott from PinBallLife recommended I get the Stern Spike sets and I can just splice them into a 12V line.

I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to do that? I’ll be receiving a voltage reader soon (recommended by Vid), and am still trying to get some wire cutters and have no idea what soldering solution to get.

First and only table. Words like “I love the music” have already been expressed about this beauty… in that order

Check the voltage of the coin door bulbs.
If 12V, splice in there, but further up in the machine on the other side of the coin door harness connector.

Isn’t this kit made for the early SS games. Using coindoor bulbs connection.

Thank you both. I think that splice idea is great. I’ll check the voltage.

Regarding the new listing for older SS machines, I could swear that list item wasn’t up on their site a couple days ago: https://www.pinballlife.com/britebuttons-bally-rgb.html

I’ll swap out the product if possible for the more plug and play installation.

Thank you both again!

Edit:
Dan of BriteMods was kind enough to let me know: “The BriteButtons Classic RGB are for older style Bally buttons.  They will not fit the type of buttons on Motordome.  For those you need the type used for Stern buttons.”

So it doesn’t seem like that older SS style kit can be considered, as the buttons are a different style than what’s in the cabinet.

Attached are pics of the BriteMods Stern button style kit and the type of button found in Motordome.
