1. Manually reset the score reels to zero. That should get it to go to the next step but is only
2. You still have to review the switches on the score reels

There are three primary reasons in order of most frequently encountered.
1. A shorted light bulb. You may need to pull all of them and then put them back in one at a time.
2. A shorted lamp socket. Harder to sort out.
3. A true short in the wiring. Could be chafed wires or a solder blob.

If you look closer at the common wire on the bulb circuits you will find zones that you can desolder and help to isolate to a particular area of the playfield.

I have a short in a game's playfield that I did a playfield swap on 5 years ago that has been sitting in a corner waiting for me to get the time to dive into it.
