I have been going through a Gottlieb captain kidd machine. And I feel like I am chasing a ghost. I have 2 problems.
1st if I start a 1 player game it will give player 2 four balls... It is not skipping the 2nd player.

The 2nd problem I have it the game will not reset. After the game over relay is tripped it will not start a new game. The only way (that I have found) to get a new game is to unplug the machine or to trip the tilt relay.

Any places to look? I have ordered a schematic just not here yet.

This schematic is from Lite A Card which was made a few months earlier than your game. Your game may be similar.

The Add Balls Played Unit should take two steps when the ball drains on a 1 player game to skip over player 2.

The switch in red on the PB/2nd Player relay should be closed for a 1 player game and open for a 2 player game. The PB relay is a trip relay in the trip relay bank. Your switch may not close properly or the PB relay may not be tripping.

Well lots of work but found the problems and think it is 100% functional. Just a lot more cleaning

Well I think it's going. New backglass and some more elbow grease and it will be good to go!

Hey WYBaller... would you happen to have a second parts unit? I have a line on a Captain Kidd that's missing the large center pop-bumper cover that also covers the surrounding 5 bumpers.
Kind of a long-shot but thought I'd ask.

Finally got some time to post again. Seems to be working about 98%. I have a few contacts I need to clean and readjust.

Sorry not sure how I missed your post. No I do not I am also looking for one mine is broken and tends to fall off...
