On a related question, does anyone know where to get the screws used to hold the playfield posts?
They have a slotted head and are about 1 1/2" long. I can't find these buggers anywhere!!
Any ideas?

Davebart, its not that one.
If you look at the big white post between the 2 right hand flippers, it is held in by two screws.
Mine have a slotted top and a small washer.
They are the ones I am looking for.
I don't have a photo, but will get one.
I emailed PBR but they don't have them.
Btw good work on your machine db5, I'll be soon starting a similar restore as you. Lots of good tips in this thread!
So far I'm working out what work needs doing.
Last night discovered that 3 out of 4 pop bumper fuses and also F4 (the solenoid fuse) had all blown. When I got the machine they were already were blown. I'm wondering if there is a link why.
After looking over the machine I realise Gottlieb were pretty good at making pinballs, and I agree with what you were told that the original parts are better quality than the replacements available now.
