I just got my first NIB pin (TWD) and I love it, great play , looks awesome and is a lot of fun but the one thing I don't like is when you win you don't have that knocker. There is some thing about that sound that just says pinball and the new sound over the speakers sounds like the machine malfunctioned. When my friend played and won he jumped back thinking he had broke it. I say "BRING BACK THE KNOCKER"!

    I hate it, too.

It has always seemed odd that they could program that horrid "TWIP", but couldn't program the sound of a real coil knocker.

When I bought my first machine, Stern Big Game, the knocker had been removed. One of the first things I had done was to get that bad boy back in there. I remember thinking "what good is winning a game if you don't get the reward" and "I gotta' have my knocker". Had a local guy put it back in, while he was there for a service call. Said he didn't have an original but had a used one he thought would do fine. He used a cannon. That thing sounds awesome! When newbies come over and win a game they literally jump. Sometimes you even get a "what was that"?!? It's hilarious. I never tire of it.
    Yup... GOTTA' have my knocker!

I had the exact same thoughts when I got my first NIB, also TWD.
Thought something was wrong with the machine, ended up turning it off.
Not sure why they can't use something better sounding, closer to the original knocker sound.
