Please start your own thread if you do so it doesn’t confuse things (mostly me!) here. But yes please do share! I only do 5-6 a year. I don’t know how you find the time!
Quoted from dmacy:The protectors are nice. I don’t make them but a place in Germany I believe does. The owner uses them on all his games so sent this to be installed. They’re permanent though. I was just laying this down to remind me to not go installing plastics as I’ll have to yank them off again to install it.
Your telling me your covering peters playfield with a protector? Why? Is it going to be routed or something?
Quoted from mollyspub:Your telling me your covering peters playfield with a protector? Why? Is it going to be routed or something?
The owner does it to all his playfields.
Bottom side is nearly done. Soldering in a replacement switch (one was wrong and was nodded poorly) and the coils.
I’ll be eliminating the alligator clips that feed the post lights and soldering directly.
Top side to date.

The back side is so clean. all the metal is clean and all of your wires all tight and right! The top side of this game has a lot of parts. I shopped one and it was a huge pain in the ass. Yours looks amazing. It gets my seal of approval. (Than and 4 bucks will get you a cup of coffee)
Thanks Ron! It will get tidier when it's ready. But wow, yeah there's a ton of crap piled on this title. I didn't think it had that much until I was tearing it down and it just kept going.
The Buthamburg playfields are really nice. Dimples have been really good too. I had to open up most post holes a hair and all the screw holes (normal). The kit you sell will last several playfields.
The soldering is done. Replaced some clear tubing like this piece for the shooter lane switch.
The supervisor was creeping on me but eventually came down for inspection.

They’re where they were but not all permanently pointed yet.
That looks pretty great. I'd love to swap the play field on mine because it's been touched up, but I couldn't handle it myself and paying someone isn't in the cards right now.
Inserts are all good. I had two LED’s that needed the wires spread out more. Typical led stuff lol.

I totally respect that. It’s tight and I kept checking with the battery as I went. It’s really close in there.
Quoted from dmacy:GI is up and working. No issues today.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
No issues? It's freaking purple, it's a huge issue. There is something very wrong with it.
Lol, everyone has their own personal taste. They like the purple. It’s their game and they’re dictating what they want. I’m just paid to swap it.
Quoted from dmacy:Another example of prepping for the wire ball guides in order.
What size drill bit did you use for the .093 wire guide? Did you use the 3/32" or go smaller? And if you used the 3/32", was there enough grip with the wood or did you need glue to help secure the wire guide?
Thanks

I don’t recall. Best to sneak up and go smaller and work up a size at a time.
