When a ball remains in one of the eye sockets (on second face) at end of play, the ball is released from the face to the wireframe ramp where it is momentarily held up by a solenoid in the ramp (as is done normally in game play). All seems normal up to this point.
Then exactly when the ball release solenoid engages to release the ball from ramp (as the machine is going through the match routine and audio), all sounds/music stop. After the ball is released, the head motor engages to go back to face one and the ball drains, but there is no more end of play audio. The stopping of audio definitely appears to be associated with the engaging of the ball release solenoid and not the head motor. For example, when no balls need to be released from the wireframe ramp but the face needs to go back to face one at end of play, all audio plays as normal as the head motor engages.
Certainly this isn't a large issue (audio eventually comes back), but I would very much appreciate it if anyone has experience with these symptoms (for example--is this normal?) or suggestions on what to check to attempt to resolve this issue (assuming the symptoms are not normal).
Thanks much!
