you can put the game into switch test and then start a game (or start a game and then put it into switch test) you can see the switch closures as you play. Then setup the scenario for a drain.
It may be the outhole switch isn't closing well or another switch is confusing it. I have issues with the face switches triggering when the faces moved that caused issues with multiball.

it there's a ball on it will stay on. Really looking for something on that shouldn't be or something not coming on.
