Mine would do this also. You need to move the wire ramp as close to the left plastic ramp as possible and then tighten the wire ramp down.
I had the same issue with my BSD not hitting the skill shot. I thought it was the ramp and then I thought it was the gate and it ended up being the Plunger. I bought a new plunger put on a new sleeve and spring and it hits every time!

If you have any LEDs near the optos by the mist gates pull them out. They will cause interference with the optos.

Try pulling your ramp off and maybe try to adjust it with some washers. I know mine has some small cut pieces of plastics that raise it and level it. I also cut the sleeve down to where it is almost flush with the shooter coil. And also pull the apron off and with a ball in the shooter lane take out the screws that hold the coil frame in and adjust it so that the shooter rod is hitting the ball dead center.

Bummer. Pull the apron. Loosen screws that hold the coil. With a ball in the shooter lane adjust the coil bracket until plunger hits ball dead center.
Also remove ramps and get access to metal gate. Try adjusting it. Also push down or up on the shoot out ramp while launching a ball see if its the ramp angle.
Yeah bsd is sick! Its the one pin I would never let go. Once you get going on that pin its really addicting!
A lot of the mist issues I have had were fixed by bending/tweaking the mist gates. They get hit a lot and sometimes end up in the sight of the optos.
