Quoted from TomDK:

My BSD is on its way to get complete ... I am just waiting that new ramps will be available ... a shame to shop the game with the old ramps ....

I really hope new ramps will be made. I could use a set.

I really want to get new ramps for the game (hoping Pinball Inc will do them on the future), then I will have Neo clear my playfield.

Quoted from nthack:

I'm sure it's been covered before, but I need help with Mist problems. I get a "Magnet unload" error on startup and then eratic Mistball during play, with magnet crossing the playfield several times. Sometimes the magnet holds the ball, sometimes not. Both gates operating correctly. I'm new to this, so could do with some step by step guidance. Maybe Opto related. Multi meter at the ready.
Thanks in advance.

Run the magnet test through the coin door service buttons and let us know what errors you get.

#626 7 years ago
Quoted from nthack:

On first pressing of the Test button, I get Magnet unload error. Then on Test 15 - Magnet, it fails the first test. Magnet Unload Error. It then seems to run through all the other tests OK.

Go into the switch matrix test and then look at the switch matrix table in your manual (or download from ipdb.com). Test all optos and make sure they are working properly.

I reused my old decals and it wasn't that bad.

Maybe we could beg Rick to redo these.

Rick, please, please, please remake the BSD ramp decals......please!

I am really surprised these gates aren't reproduced.

Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

If anyone has or knows someone who has a complete NOS set of plastics, please let me know.

They usually show up on eBay and go for ridiculous prices. I am hoping CPR will make a repro set.

#1047 6 years ago

Mine are metal as well.

#1090 6 years ago

If you do get it make a protector for it. That area where it broke is literally a 1mm thick.

Thanks for the info guys. Does anyone know the story on the metal rails? What game besides BSD and CFBL got them? Why discontinue it ect.
I think you could attempt to repair the ware at the top left out lane with a spray paint that I think is called Metalite. It give that hammered metal look. You could try to clear it after paint, but a steel ball smacking a metal out lane wall is gonna ware away again.

My guess would be cost wood vs metal rails. JMHO.

Quoted from SunnRAT:

Has anyone heard the quotes "I am beginning to see many strange things" or something like that? I think it's from Keanu Reeve's character in the film. He also says something like "I now know I have become a prisoner." Anyone know what triggers these quotes and/or what they mean in the game?

The many strange things one I have heard when you activate a castle lock via one of the sets of standup targets.

Does anyone make lightning bolt decals for BSD?

#3562 4 years ago
Quoted from billsfanmd:

picked up a nice BSD...Everything works perfect except I think the bulb under pf that moves with the mist magnet is out. I think its number 53 in manual. Looks like it should come on when mist is going? Did not see how to test this bulb..Thx

Should come on if you go into All Lamp Test. If it doesn't replace it. I have a 47 LED in mine, otherwise I don't think you see it too well with a regular incandesant bulb

Anyone sell insert decals for BSD?

#3619 4 years ago
Quoted from aobrien5:

I remember a thread of someone making their own D-R-A-C-U-L-A decals, so they probably aren't available.

I contacted the person but have not heard back. Thanks for the heads up.
I was hoping a supplier had some but it seems no one does.

Can anyone measure the length of the hex spacers that hold the village on the left side? I know there are 2 but I don't have the correct size.

#4654 3 years ago
Quoted from terryb:

If no one answers the measurements for all of the hex spacers are someplace in this thread.

Only ones I can find are for the right castle and the prototype slings. It's like looking for a needle a hay stack.

http://pinballrehab.com/1-articles/solid-state-repair/game-specific-toys/200-mist-multiball

A good read for things to check. I had to change the L1 inductor on my 25 switch onto assembly. Mine was broken on mine.

Quoted from waspinat0r:

Thanks for the thorough reply. I have a 24" opto board being delivered today so hopefully I'll have the issue fixed tonight. It's not BSD without fully functioning mist!

The board you installed, was it an aftermarket board or a used board? Where did you get it from? Just curious.

Did you check the fuses on the flipper board in the head someone recommended?

#4769 3 years ago
Quoted from waspinat0r:

It was a homepin 24" opto board from PBL.

I do not have the homepin board and can't find any instructions online for it
but was there instructions with it?
I noticed on the images of the board there is a 12v led- is the light on?
There is also a tip1 to measure 5 volts. Are you getting 5volts?
There is also a pot in the middle of the board it looks like. Does it need to be adjusted for BSD? Someone who has used the board might be able to help further.

Quoted from jawjaw:

I'm having trouble with ball getting caught in the subway going from mystery hole to the left vuk. Game is new to me. Ramp was previously mounted where the lip was under the metal plate. I thought this was the problem since ball may have trouble rolling over the plate to get into the hole. I have it mounted above plate as shown in pic but ball is still getting stuck right at the end. The metal plate is bent up in one corner and I'm thinking that is the problem. Can someone confirm that this plate should be flat or is it bent at an angle from the factory?

Here is mine.
