I've got 2 Romanian cleaners, who have become friends, mostly after I spent ages boring them about pinball, phonographs, arcade games and jukeboxes.. They love this pin. "Welcome to the Carpathians" hehe. Imagine being from the country that contains Transylvania? So cool. They know, and have taught me, a helluva lot about Dracula and the legends underlying the story, theme parks in Romania etc.
IMO Eastern Europe will rise again.. It is the China of Europe. Or something.
