Quoted from allsportdvd:I see the color DMD is now available for BSD! Very excited but where do I buy a clear speaker panel to replace the red one?
Official announcement.

Quoted from aobrien5:boggles the mind that they wouldnt fix that for the next print run.
Because it takes a major event for Classic Arcades to make any changes once they release something, even though colors are way off in some cases.
If I install a LED ColorDMD in my BSD, I'll go the route of using paint thinner to remove the red film off the original speaker panel insert. If I do this and decide to remove the ColorDMD when I go to sell it, I'll put one of these red gels over the plasma DMD. I do have a couple I bought when then these were still in stock. http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/30189U
Quoted from flynnsbit:Just joined you boys and girls with a new BSD we brought home. Seems to be working 96% except for the right flipper is week when it warms up. Ordered a full kit and the suggestion is to get these too.
Will this specific one work for BSD? http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=270
Sounds like the EOS switch has a contact issue, or a broken wire to it.
Quoted from flynnsbit:Here is a sample.
Such an epic game you had going on there.
Can you shoot a vide of the mist multiball?
Hmmm... Sorry. I was actually wanting to see the mist multiball animation on the ColorDMD during gameplay.
Quoted from mollyspub:Yes they are. I thought of that and will change them just to make sure.
Upgrade to NVRAM so you will not have to worry about batteries.
Quoted from mollyspub:True but I'm not so sure this is my problem.
Do it and find out. You'll be protecting the board from future damage in the process.
Quoted from aobrien5:That sounds like a bad opto. Is it registering ramp hits when it does that?
I can see there is this possibility. I would test all switches and optos in the game.
Not long ago, I had worked on a BSD for a friend where the jackpot was randomly being awarded as he progressed later in the game. After doing a switch test, I found 3 dead targets and the right scoop opto was registering it as well as the dead targets. Turned out to be a broken wire going to the top left target.
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:i think i will just send the board to Clive (unless he won't accept it)
That is not too badly damaged. You can email them a picture and they'll should be able to tell you right away. Also ask to have NVRAM installed.
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:My next concern is the music, would this corrision result in losing the background music or would the audio board and/or sound chips need to be addressed as well?
Just start with reseating the 4 connector ribbon cable at each board connection...top left MPU to Fliptronix board to sound board to the DMD controller board.
No. The battery damage is affecting your switches, not your sound.
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:Anyone remove red color for Drac DMD speaker panel? If so, how?
I might actually install a color LED display if I don't have to buy a new speaker panel.
Yes. Easy enough.

Quoted from Mr_Outlane:Ya, I saw that video, but I didn't know if BSD panel was actually paint like that panel was? If so, great!
Yep, BSD and all Gottlieb system 3 games that have red in from of the DMD is a red painted window on that speaker panel plastic.
Quoted from Moomert1:Anyone else have any advice they can offer? I reseated plugs J113, J115, J120, J121 and then plugged back in. Fuses F106, F107, F108, F109, F110 look good. Fuse 115 looks a little wonky but I has told 115 doesn't control the GI. I did notice the 3 GI bulbs listed in my previous post are daisy chained to about 4 or 5 other bulbs. Those too are not lighting. All wiring to each bulb looks secure. I don't see any broken wires. I checked all plugs on the board. Didn't see any burned plugs.
I am at a complete loss....
GI comes into the power driver board at J115 from the transfomer. Goes out to the J120 and J121 connectors. Any of these 3 connectors have burnt pins? If not, pull fuses 5 fuses in the bottom left corner and test them to see if any are blown.
