Quoted from Ninefingers:Anyone else have the annoying skill shot problem where the ball rarely hits the back drop target? The plunge seems to have enough kick during an autofire but not at the start of a ball... Maybe the gate before that area needs some lube. I wanted to make sure this isn't normal before I took off the ramps. Thanks!
Try cleaning the coil and replacing the coil tubing. The part number is 03-7066.

The s/n on the sticker (inside and out) the also read 220 Volts and where it was initially shipped ie France. Stickers and coindoors can be replaced but just another place to look.

Iamdarras...This is f'en AWESOME! Does this fit under the dome of the coffin? I'm going to replace the tinted version with the clear version for this guy after ordering.
Quoted from Hazzard:Hi!
Im a new member and a proud owner of Bram Stokers Dracula
I have made a custom mix for the game using the pinsound soundboard.
I saw someone posted a work in progress video of it som days ago, but this version is on another level.
Check it out and please let me know what you think of it.
Not every sound is showcased in this video, but you get the idea
I have to wait for two days to post a link here, so please just search on you tube: dracua custom pinsound 1.1
Added 31 days ago: » YouTube video
I was thinking of adding the OST and other dialog from the movie w/Pinsound board but this is FANTASTIC!!!
Not mine but I thought this might be cool for a game room. Limited to 100.

Quoted from NPO:Given your collection, I'm amazed $400 is a make or break situation here.
Order one and tell yourself in a mirror "Don't hesitate again."
Thanks! Pinball collecting is one thing but a $500 mod is another I'll probably get one sometime down the road.
Quoted from NPO:ColorDMD is a mod worth its investment. You'll get 75% back of your price if you ever sell as people nearly always pin $300-$350 onto their asking price, and people pay it happily because it looks the part and enhances the game.
$500??? Why so much? For me, LCD version w/shipping is about $419, and the LED w/shipping is $385. How are you getting hit for $500??
Don't forget about the new speaker panel adding $100 which was my point of the post.
Quoted from smcclain65:This is great. Where did you get the pinsound kit and how did you install the new sounds?
Its a replacement sound board that can be had at Pinsound.org. You can use it as a direct replacement for your sound board and/or add additional sound packs if available. They have a niche since they are the only ones that make a replacement sound board for WPC89 games like FT, BSD, TZ etc. You can also use their wiring harness to rewire your cabinet in STEREO. The newer version available also unzips the sound files much faster than the predecessor pcb. Its basically a drag and drop to a USB and install it in the board. 15 min later your in business. The board also allows for fine tuning the base, mid, and treble throughout. Its really one of better bang for you buck mods out there in terms of mods.
There is only 1 re re-orchestration for BSD but fortunately, Hazzard made it kick ass with original sound track and voices as you can see above. Dial in the base and turn it up.
Quoted from smcclain65:This is great info. Thank you. Did you have to upgrade the speakers or install a subwoofer? Or just get the new board?
I had updated my speakers with Flipper Fidelity speakers beforehand and the board took full advantage of it. Pinsound also sells their brand of speakers which their board performs better with. If I hadn't already updated the speakers I would have picked those up.
matrix_output_speakers_factory_pinsound-768x422 (resized).pngQuoted from smcclain65:Thank you for the graphic, that answers my question.
Another question, I see that K's arcade has this in stock. They charge an additional $60 to install the sound for the game. Can I just buy the base pinsound board for my machine and load the Hazard orchestration and save myself the additional $60 bucks.
Thank you
Its a board swap with minimal unplugging and plugging. Make sure the ribbon and other cables all line up. There documentation is pretty good (just pictures really). Check out and/or favorite this Pinsould thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/tantrums-guide-to-pinsound
The only issue I had was that the Pinsound board wasn't getting a good +12 volts from the big power driver board (red LED after initial boot). I swapped with my TZ with the same result. I ordered a new set of ribbon cables from Marco and everything was fine.
Quoted from hawknole:Lastly, I am working on a revised pinsound mix. The base is Hazzard’s superb mix with some great work from davebart5. This will take some time as I know how long LOTR took for me, hopefully not as long for BSD. When I am finished I will share and update here. Big fan of pinsound.
Looking forward to this hawknole
Fe'n awesome sound package. I think hazard said he's updating it also. You can unzip or leave the sound package at the root of the USB. One is slightly faster than the other. I'll have to check again but I think its Fat32 quick or full formatting.
Quoted from isJ:Anyone know where to get BSD ramp flaps? Pinbits is sold out and I'm not sure if will stock again. Thanks!
If you email them, I'm sure they will make them for you. I asked about a few items for my AFM that were sold out but they whipped them up.
Man, that's some damage! What happened?
I looked around a few places but didn't see it remade or used. It looks like Action Pinball had a listing for one but now out.
That sucks. I've seen magnet burn on an Addams Family but never knew one to burn a playfield like that. What you have is a decent work around and no one sees it under the playfield for the light board. I bet it will look sweet with the new playfield in.
I have a set of BSD ramps with no cracks but in nice used condition. Nice to have as a back up or for parts. $75 shipped.
Quoted from KenM:Interested but the link isnt working.
My shop is all boogered up. I'll send you the pics in a second.
Lots of time on my hands being off of work with the Pandemic. I was collecting the parts for a rainy day so. Reshopped my BSD with new ramps, plastics, ColorDMD, speaker panel and Titan silicon bass. Pin sound and Flipper fidelity upgrades also. Tumbled all metal. Ground off the rust off the transformer block.

7A0A9367-CDFA-4DFE-826E-82CCD673525F (resized).jpegQuoted from Pinkitten:Amazing job. Where did you find the coffin and decals? I would like to replace mine.
The coffin was my original. The decal was included in a headstone mod that was sold about 2-3 years ago. I forgot it was in there until I started shopping everything out.
Quoted from Hazzard:Hello there!
142 days since my last visit in this forum, time flies!
All you BSD pinsound users out there might be interested in this little gem. Especially if you miss the original game over music..

Can we simply copy this to the "game over theme" directory?
Quoted from CoolCatPinball:Well, the cab is coming along nicely. Here's a look at the good side of the RadCals. I'm thrilled with the powder coat color. It appears black at a glance, but when the light hits it right, it's full of purple and blue metallic flake. Very subtle and looks great with the new color scheme.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Those Radcals are nice. Your BSD looks amazing.
Quoted from Colsond3:I have Pinsound with a custom revamped Lucy mix davebart5 put together, and the original sounds.
Is the dump from that somewhere on the net or on the Pinsound forums? Im using Hazzard's now which is pretty cool.
Duh, should have did a little search for Davebart5's...
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bram-stokers-dracula-clubmembers-only/page/140#post-5283667
You may need to download the original from Pinsound and copy it to the USB. Mine came blank. "Hazard" and "Davebart5" mixes will have to be downloaded and copied separately. Just follow Daves post for copying it.
Yesterday was World Dracula Day! Part of my prop collection are these shadow puppets. They are screen-used props from the movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula used in battle scenes. The one on the left has a moveable arm with sword; the one on the right is stationary and is a topper

Quoted from allsportdvd:Anyone know why these aren't being made anymore? I am certain if a run was done it'd sell - I'd buy them
Medisinyl stated that most of his mods are limited. Once he sells so many that’s it. You’d have to ask him how firm that is. I like the mod and would get a set if available.
Quoted from paulie484:Brilliant !! Funny how the legacy bend of a wire kind of gives you the clues where it's supposed to be !!
That's perfect...thank you !
When I started working part time on pins for a shop, the owner would kiddingly say "The wires don't lie". Its sort of true
I don't know if he has any more sets but I picked these up from PjM when he offered them. Plug n Play ready to go!

Actually I think I have the round posts in the correct positions. My problem is with the hex posts and I can't find anything in this thread regarding them. The list of hex posts in the manual is not complete and does not match the lengths I have.
Thanks.
Check the photos in BSD "Shopout" Gallery

When I did my last 2 teardowns, I took a butt load of photos and uploaded them.
Dave has a really great mix also.

What's nice is you can have them all loaded onto a USB and switch between anytime you want just by lowering the volume to 0.
Quoted from Pinkitten:I had been dealing with an issue for about 6 months or more of randomly firing optos/switches. I had a tech look at it and posted the prob here. Over in the TZ thread, someone mentioned their auto plunge coil would randomly fire in attract mode, which my BSD was doing. I assumed it was a board issue, and I tried swapping nearly all the boards in the backbox to no avail. In the TZ thread they suggested an opto board might be the problem. I finally looked at mine on BSD under the pf, and found this…
Replaced it with a new opto board today from Pinball Life and all issues resolved!
[quoted image]
Quoted from CoolCatPinball:Good to know! I think I've heard a coil randomly firing occasionally in attract mode on mine.
Quoted from aobrien5:These are good posts to tag as key posts.
Done!
Quoted from Pinkitten:We already made arrangements to relocate the cemetery. Awww that’s sacrilegious isn’t it? Relax, it’s not ancient tribal burial ground, it’s just…people. Besides, we’ve done it before. When? Back in ‘76, right down there.
[quoted image]
"You son of a bitch! You moved the cemetery, but you left the bodies, didn't you? You son of a bitch, you left the bodies and you only moved the headstones!"
CooperativeNauticalCobra-size_restricted.gifQuoted from Pinkitten:I love that scene. “You left the bodies and you only moved the headstones!!!” Cost-cutting has consequences. I still cannot believe this movie was rated PG. Such was the power Spielberg had over the MPAA. It was originally rated R, but he appealed and had it changed so families could bring children to see corpses come up from the ground and a scientist have his face fall apart in the mirror. I was terrified when I saw Poltergeist, and I still feel it’s one of the scarier 80’s movies. Gremlins and Temple of Doom brought the PG rating to a head and PG-13 was born.
Great movie! We just picked it up in 4K.
Quoted from Zee:I've given up trying to figure out what previous people were thinking when working on games.[quoted image]
Especially reimports. I've shopped out a half dozen BSD's and their typically more dirty and have oddball fixes than any other title.
I went from Lightning to blood read regular to Lighting again. I want to play it as it was intended. It sucks at first but after you get used to the shots it not to bad.
I read a big operator with a lot of influence in Europe had used them in his machines and convinced Williams to install them on some tables. FT was designed with them. BSD wasn't but Williams decided to put them in the game anyway. They were were unpopular and some people changed them out.
It may be a rumor and I'm not sure if its true. Not trying to start a flipper size debate I'm sure LTG or toddtuckey would know.
LEDs can totally screw a game up depending on what you choose. It takes real experimentation to keep them from over powering and washing out the game. Using warm LED's for GI can look yellow as in my AFM. It sucks because its an expensive and kind of timely mistake. It depends on where you get them, how bright and so on. My current project of reshopping my RFM is a PITA with mixture of LEDs and bulbs because of the way the game does dimming. "Tinkering" is part of what maksthe hobby fun I guess.
Quoted from Cariba:Should the center 3 targets (Castle lock) slow the ball down and somewhat absorb balls energy ? I notice the left side targets do this well, but not the center ones as much on my machine. Is it a matter of adding/replacing foam on the back of the targets? (as shown in pic - this is not my machine) OR is the center targets suppose to be more bouncing?[quoted image]
Looks like the left target gets more action. Nothing really more to do or add for this other than replacing the foam. When reshopping my games I always replace old worn and ratty looking target foam. Its cheap.
https://www.pinballlife.com/target-backing-foam.html
Target backing pad white final_300x197.jpgQuoted from Cariba:Ok, now hopefully the last question for a while...
maybe a debatable one;
What is the recommendation and differences specific for this game in terms of new rubbers vrs new Silicone? or is it mostly personal preference?
Does Silicon make this game harder/faster?
My understanding is Silicon is easier to clean, what other advantages are there? Do clear Silicone rubbers transmit light and almost shine (like a fiber optic kind of effect)?
I notice most post sleeves sold are silicon anyways no? Or would rubber still be recommended?
Thanks in advance all...
Rubber gives a bit more bounce but will wear faster than Silicon. Silicone doesnt break down like rubber so it will last longer but cost a tad more. Rubber kits that are sold could have made up and sitting on a shelf for a while. I've bought rubber kits with semi dried out or tough rubber. I've since changed over to Titan Silicone for most of my games and its very nominal IMO. People mostly noticed it at the flippers or slings so you could change all to Silicone except those areas and have a happy mix.
I started having a problem where the "Love Never Dies" stopped flashing/lighting during ball saves/replays. I looked for the obvious things but not having much luck. Any help is appreciated.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Had both. Will never use pin2DMD again. ColorDMD all the way.
I've always used ColorDMDs products and have 5 installed now in my games. They offere 2 types of displays LCD or LED. Easy to install. Update files are easy to find. Support is awesome. I've seen threads with Pin2DMD gripes but never read through what the issues were.
