Quoted from Blenderhead:

I bought some lightning flippers from Marco. They are equal in length to standard flippers...
That sucks.

I just got these from Marco and they are correct

Quoted from Blenderhead:

In the pic, the lightning flippers appear to be the same length as standard flippers, they are supposed to be 1/8" shorter then standard flippers..

The yellow ones are the original lightning flippers. The repros are identical

#2388 9 years ago

There are multiple color choices. These are the ones I purchased:

If they're off send them some pictures and I'm sure they'll make it right

#2391 9 years ago

So my shooter launches the ball up the ramp and it jumps into the little clear plastic cover at the top of the launch ramp about half the time. That kills the momentum and it either dribbles into the lanes or never makes the lanes. Suggestions?

Quoted from Jaybird815:

Check to make sure the tip of ball launcher is hitting ball dead center.

Hard to tell, but I think so!

Quoted from aobrien5:

Do you have the small clear square plastic that sits atop the shooter lane to prevent airballs?

I do, and that's part of the problem! The ball is jumping at the top of the ramp and clipping the back edge of the plastic, which slows it down

#2397 9 years ago

A pic of the ball in the shooter lane?

Shitty phone pics incoming, plz hold

Also just above the ball in that 3rd pic (still in the trough) you can barely make out a hole in the pf. Is there supposed to be a post there?

#2406 9 years ago

What tip is it supposed to have? No tip at all?

#2408 9 years ago

Sweet I'll try it like that tomorrow. Thanks!

#2410 9 years ago

you don't like the reservoir tip?

#2415 9 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Also the game looks like it needs the back legs jacked up looks a little low put that bad boy up to 6.7 thats where they seem to play the best

I generally play with negative slope. Otherwise gravity pulls the ball down towards the flippers, which can result in ball drain!!

#2417 9 years ago

haha I'll let you know tomorrow! I'm hopeful!

#2419 9 years ago

No problem, when I get the shooter firing au natural, I'll set slope to your recommended 6.7 and see if that helps as well

#2439 9 years ago

I followed the advice regarding the tip and the slope, but no good. This is sort of embarrassing but I've already shown you my shooter tip so .. turns out the castle wireform was too far over to the right and clipping the ball as it went by.

I had incorrectly assumed it was hitting the airball cover plastic. Moved the wireform over and all is well!!

There are few things more emasculating than starting Mist MB, hitting a weak shot, and watching the captive ball grab it and slowly drag it all the way across the pf in front if you

#2495 9 years ago
Quoted from Sparky347:

I hit the Mist ball squarely and the Mist ball flew off but my ball stopped dead and started along the Mist track. When the ball I'd broken loose finally got back to the flipper I smacked my ball loose again and the Mist ball got onto the magnet and finished it's journey into the left gate. That sucked.

haha yeah, similarly when the Mist MB exits the left gate and you hit it hard enough to knock the captive ball up the left ramp, the in-play ball gets captured by the magnet, but by the time the original Mist ball makes it around the ramp orbit you have no chance hit it with the right flipper. Frustratingly awesome!
