Quoted from Kiwikid:

Had not thought of making my own. Seems here in New Zealand from what I can see it’s a little tricky to buy the steel unless you buy in bulk but I will look around some more. Thanks

How about refreshing the old flaps? Sanding the surface until it‘s clean an smooth and after that heating up the steel in a baking oven up to approx. 290 (?) degrees C to get the blue colour...

Did it for my BSD...

Quoted from Zee:

Have any of you tried these thin plastic whole-playfield protectors?
https://www.playfield-protectors.com/Home/Details/8mRomepeY0KzDgS9WDTswQ?categoryid=33&category=Bram%20Stoker%27s%20Dracula&name=Bram%20Stoker%27s%20Dracula%20%7C%201993
Looking for real-world experience and opinions with these.
Thanks

Yes, I did some restoration work on my playfield. After that I put this protector in place.
Play is very smooth and I don‘t regret this measure. Actually, there are little adjustments necessary to get a perfect fit.
But from my perspective it‘s worth the efforts.

Quoted from Santis:

In mine it just sit on.

In mine, too. Since the grave yard is attached to the ramp with three screws, the ramp plastic cannot be attached to the metal post...

Quoted from paulie484:

Greetings !
New BSD owner and my very first pinball so very excited on both counts !
Purchased from a guy who had owned it for 20 years with HUO who wanted a more sedate version for his grandkids, but before that it was obviously used in our local arcade franchise as it still has the arcade tagging, coin box etc
I'm about half way through all the posts on this thread and can see it's a great community of support and some awesome mods !! ....the mod wish list is definitely getting long ! Leds will be a priority and also doing something with ol' Ron in the box eventually !! would love to keep it stock and enjoy as is but is such a cool theme it begs to be updated a little. Love what some of you guys have done on here
What a fantastic game and introduction to pinball ownership, I can honestly say I will be keeping this machine for as long as I physically can...can see why people keep coming back to it !
A couple of quick queries; can someone advise what size post this should be left at the castle gate ? looks like this one has been replaced as a longer version at some stage and whole castle is not sitting level
And I have seen on a couple of photos and videos there is a post that seems to go in the backboard near the graveyard ?? - there is a hole hear at the moment...no balls go to that area just wondering what it would have been for ?
Cheers and thankyou for the welcome to my home !! [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

...the post near the graveyard

...unfortunately I cannot tell the size of the long metal post.

Quoted from ThatOneDude:

I'm getting a lot of balls rejected on the ramp next to the coffin. One side is a little under the part of the ramp, and the other side seems a little above. Is this normal?
[quoted image]
Here's a video in which I tried to show the problem.

I had the same problem… As I remember the solution was adjusting the metal ramp using a washer.

Oh, man, I have taken this damn thing apart so many times now.....

There will always be a small gap between both ramps. That’s how it looks in my BSD, quite the same level (not easy to show in a picture)

Btw: I reproduced the ramp using 0,12 inch (3mm) macrolon, a little thicker than the original part

Quoted from Bohm:

Did it use to reach the drop target? If not, check to see if it's the correct coil and if it is check the kicker bracket components for wear or binding.

…if it used to reach the drop target a bad solder joint could be another possible cause.

Can anyone send me a picture of their plug for the mech that drags the ball during mist multiball harness please?

Hope that helps…

Quoted from Gogojohnnyquack:

Gameplay question - When playing Mist Multiball, should my ball end when one ball drains? Seems strange for the flippers to go dead when there is still one ball on the playfield. That being said, my I'm not sure that my Mist optos are working exactly right.

That’s definitely not correct. When one ball drains it should continue regular one ball gameplay

Anyone do the non main smaller coffin ramp?

This could be an easy DIY build from 3mm Macrolon…

Quoted from FLASHBALL:

Trying to help a friend out. If I need to start a seperate thread I can. Just figured Id ask the group if anyone has seen this before.
When balls are locked in the castle, if they are resting against the castle release pin that releases them, then the solenoid won't fire to let them go. If you gently move the ball just a bit then the coil fires just fine. Anyone seen this before?
Took a video to show the problem in action.

…i would clean the optos (switches) and check the position/adjustment
