Just picked up a BSD from a fellow Pinsider. Awesome game! Hard. Love that.

Quoted from Almost4200hp:This can happen if the ramp is misaligned. The ball goes up the first (lift ramp) piece then hits the lip of the main plastic ramp. It bounces up into the rubber stop that fits to the back of Drac's coffin end cover. When the ball goes up more slowly it doesn't bounce as much and misses the rubber.
There are three hex posts supporting Drac's coffin, and believe it or not they are all different (tho very similar) lengths. It's really easy to get them mixed up when shopping the pin and you end up with a lip at the top of the lift ramp.
Have a look at the top if the lift ramp and if its higher on one side than the other it's likely the hex posts are mixed up
Pete
Do you know the appropriate order? I definitely have a lip there.
Quoted from skywalker:hi there fellow BSD pinheads,
just got my pin, really not happy, bought it site unseen never f'nk again
anyway is this mild planking on the PF or cracked clear, looks worse than the pic, cant get a good shot
Which type of playfield?
Quoted from skywalker:all depends on price
i think you will be hard pressed to find a mint one around, i made the #1 mistake, not begin patient
Love me some Diamond Lady, too!
Quoted from skywalker:Ha Ha DL = drain machine , keep a eye out, going to pm you for some info
Will do. Can we put Mylar down to protect the ball launch area?
Quoted from Choggard:Anyone have a BSD for sale in Michigan? PM me..
I have one near you, but there's no topper.
Quoted from neurokinetik:No, this one was not actually at the show. I picked it up from Carl, a fellow pinsider, who happens to be right in York. I'd put condition as very good to excellent player quality, but with some TLC and sending out the playfield for some minor restoration and a good clearcoat, this could be a nice collector quality machine. He was upfront and honest about the condition of the game, so I'm satisfied with the deal.
I'm very grateful to Carl to honoring my "first in line" place, even though there was plenty of interest in the game. I'm also grateful for the help in getting it into the van, and that it was already out of the basement when I arrived (that did not look fun, at all).
Post edited by neurokinetik: derp. wrong pictureGlad you are enjoying the machine! It was definitely not fun pulling from the basement... But a worthwhile price to pay to participate in the hobby. I saw two BSDs at the show, and I'd submit that neither was in as nice a condition as your new one! Unfortunately, this means I must check out of the BSD club, though one day I will likely return!
