I'm having an issue with my left mist gate not opening. I have 65v at the coil. Could someone be kind enough to pull an ohm reading on that small left mist gate coil?

If it's not my coil, then components on the fliptronics board. What components should I be testing/looking at replacing?

I'm looking for a few original coffin parts. Are they still available anywhere?

Red clear plate that sits below the dracula figure that the light pcb sits on. (part #?)

What pinball machine do you regret selling the most and why is it Bram Stokers Dracula?

#9598 1 year ago

That is absurd! Is there a build thread here on pinside for it?

Quoted from KJS:

I'm on my third, hopefully for good now!
First one was an original restored by others which was very nice. Second was the black and white Gothic edition I detailed earlier alot which went to a good home with my custom Stranger things and Alien last year.
I have a players one now and will be going full blown custom again over the next 3-6months with some enhancements from my last version. No playfield planking at all so keen to see where it was from...never seen one without it here.
There have been some copies in some parts of my last version so I am going to offer up custom parts as I go for others this time as well if there is interest for any or all of the parts and mods I do.
I love the game play alot, can be so brutal but so rewarding as well. Great video mode set to hard, flow and the epic pinsound mix by hazzard which is a great base for any custom tweaks. In my all time top 10 games for sure. And I miss my green mist interactive smoke machine!
Here is my last one if you haven't seen it.

Just seeing this now. Thank you for the compliment. I posted the less involved "Ruins" version in the updated mod thread.

Quoted from amphicar4fun:

Hello guys,
Today my BSD started an issue with the mist. Switches 81, 82 and 83 are now always closed. 81 and 83 are physical switches, and even disconnecting the connectors to the switches the machine still sees both closed. The opto (82) should open when I cut the beam, but does nothing. The green grey wire that goes to the 3 switches works ok on other switches on the game.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Jacques

Machine off, lift the playfield and disconnect J3 on the 24-opto board. The board is located mid playfield by the mist rail.

Now recheck those switches and report back

Quoted from amphicar4fun:

Thank you for the tip. After I disconected the 24 opto board, switches 81 and 82 are registering. Apparently I have something wrong with the opto. I already changed one electrolitic capacitor of it in the past, it smoked bad. After replacing the capacitor it was working ok. Any tips on what to check on the opto? Thank you.

That board is $90 on Marco so definitely worth trying to fix it if you have the skills

Looking for a playfield slider assembly for the right side of the playfield/cabinet. If anyone has a lead on one or know where I can buy one could you let me know? Thanks

Quoted from Luckdragon100:

Hey all -- I'm getting that weak-ish plunger action some people have described -- not enough juice to hit the skill shots etc... I'm going to replace the spring but just checking this is what the shooter tip is supposed to look like? looks a little bare so thought I'd check. Thanks! G
[quoted image]

I believe so. Check and make sure that coil has not worked it’s way loose and that it is striking the ball in the center

After that I would look at the plunger and. sleeve

Quoted from lrosent345:

Am I missing something here. How can you know which chips are responsible from a picture? You need a schematic.

It’s color coded and numbered so you can easily find the component path of j206-7 (for example)

Does anyone know the part number of the f-f hex post that supports the habitrail coming from the coffin ramp? Or, at least it's height?

Is the manual incorrect on the transistor number, wire color and connector for the left and right gates? Are Q5 and Q7 swapped in the manual?

The left mist gate is on J902-1 Q7 and the right mist gate is j902-4 Q7 orange-violet????

Quoted from data_eastside:

On my Drac recently the VUK that delivers the ball to the left inlane has been kicking it out with too much force and causing drains. Anybody seen that ? Any tips on how to remedy? It's very annoying. Here's a clip of it:[quoted image]

The ball popper/vuk is striking the ball off center putting a back spin on the ball. Because this is a recent/new problem I would lift the play field and see if you have some screws loose or missing on the mech

Should I get an LED OCD board for Black Friday or non-ghosting bulbs for BSD? Not sure if it ghosts either because I think it does but some websites say it doesn't.

Are OCD boards on sale for Black Friday?
