Just started our own shop job on my BSD. Can already tell this is going to be a complex job, but can't wait to see how it looks when it gets its first serious cleaning in, I don't know, a decade.
One thing I'm looking at doing is replacing the targets from the center bank. The foam backs are almost completely destroyed. The targets in the left bank look amazingly nice compared to the center targets. They just don't get hit as hard as often.
When cross referencing the targets from the manual, I noticed it said the center target should be red while the outside targets should green. My outside targets are yellow, and I'm pretty sure every picture I've ever seen of a BSD had yellow outside targets, too. Either color would complement the playfield (which has both yellow and green on it), so I thought about going with what the manual says instead of the yellow. Of course, checking Marco, they have them in every color but green (out of stock).
So, just out of curiosity, has anyone seen a machine with green outer targets on the center or left target bank?
Ah, interesting to know. Yellow works for me, but would have considered green if they were readily available. This shop job is complicated enough as it is, I don't need the manual throwing curve balls at me too!
I'm assuming most would encourage me to remove the mylar around the pop bumpers. It's the only mylar on the machine and I understand you don't really need it with Diamondplate playfields. There is some bubbling by a few of the inserts leading into the Mystery Hole. I've never removed mylar before. Is it worth it?
Quoted from aobrien5:It looks like these to me: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/instruction/bsdset.zip
Be careful, there are several things in the manual that are not accurate. Mislabeled part numbers, missing diagram indicators for lights, etc.
Yeah, I've experienced this in the past, so I take everything with a grain of salt. That's why forums like this are so darn important and helpful.
Quoted from bigd1979:Ok I need a few pieces on my bsd and figured id ask here first I need the plastic thats above the 3 bank targets below the pops and I need the plastic shroud behind the grave marker that covers the light houseing and wires . Pm me if you have extras thax
I got the center plastic from Little Shop of Games, but they don't seem to have anything for BSD available right now, though maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Never used these guys before, but they seem to have that together with the sling plastics (which have also been tricky to get hold of in the past).

Pick up some protectors for all those if you haven't already, as well. Broke the center plastic within three months of owning the machine and haven't broken one in years with the protectors on. It's worth it.
Don't know the last time I saw a shroud for the coffin anywhere, but if they're out there it would be cool to know about. Mine is beat up and could stand to be replaced.
Good luck with your hunt!
