Quoted from JWV:Hi, I know which plastic you mean.. It's not missing though.. But maybe it is somehow slowing down the ball.. hard to 'debug' this issue, should film it to diagnose this..
At my BSD the "point of no return" for the Coffin ramp is at the yellow arrow, is this where it should be?
I read somewhere that getting around the first corner should be enough to get through the ramp. That would mean the ramp should be raised at the right side..drac-795.jpg 67 KB
mine is about the same as yours.
Quoted from n0s4atu:I was about to tackle rebuilding the flippers for more oomph and asked in Vid's thread what type of switch was best and he was like switch? You've got a flipper opto board. And I was all like nuh uh...
I think leaf switches are totally fine. TAF used leaf switch on fliptronics like you've got on your BSD and stern still uses the leaf switch. As long as the contacts are clean.. I say leave it.
Quoted from oohlou:Do you guys leave bats at the default settings? What about increasing the ball saver? What do other mediocre players do?
I sold my first bsd because it was too hard. I think bsd makes or breaks a mediocre player.. You get better or get beat down.
Going to 5 ball and softening the rules did little to nothing till I got better.
Quoted from WeirPinball:Not true - if you patch the rom
The only thing the patch will fix is ghosting.. Even then it's not the end all.
Quoted from wolfy:This game is a must have in any collection over 3 pins. It is under-rated at 32. Should be around 8-12. Out of 53 pins the only game that i re- bought and it is staying this time .
Wolfy said it. The fact that half his collection mirrors mine must mean something.
There's a Scandinavian dude who made BSD ROMs

Quoted from Toasterdog:I sold my BSD to join the Casters Club with my purchase of Fish Tales. Now life sucks
Learn from my mistakes.
Just gotta have both.
Quoted from supermatt:Anyone know if this part which appears to be a small lane guide belongs anywhere on this game? I had the playfield propped up fixing something and when I put it down, it was on the playfield. I can't find any obvious places it would go. I'm wondering if it's a part from something else that fell in before was lodged under something and fell out when the playfield was tilted.
Something like that goes under the castle lock between rubberband loop, another on the other side just below the left mist ball lock.
Bsd has the mist multiball and a dark intenseness to it. Fish tales is family friendly fun loving good times pinball.
Both are on the harder side of the difficulty scale.
You can't go wrong either way.
BSD has more gadgetry with the lift ramp coffin lock, subways, castle lock and mist.. FT pretty much just has the cool ball lock.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:When I was a little kid, instead of Mickey Mouse, my dad bought me Frankenstein, Dracula and Mummy comic-books... Nowadays I'm completely normal!
Mentira!
Quoted from NPO:Remember when new ramps were "right around the corner" ?
Yeah, me too.
BSD up on the block
