And more finds, long bean 24" opto board is dead, +13V is there and led is off, I've re soldered all points but nothing, caps seems fine though. Help here......
Thanks, any idea why the sound it's extremely loud? Can't turned down with the coin door buttons, is a volume potentiometer somewhere else?
Gustavo
Thanks guys for your feedback, so I ordered a new one to avoid future failures. I found the volume override on the menu, but is not lineal and the left speaker(original) is dead, the right one is 4ohms but unknown W, the cabinet one(original) is working, any options? I already ordered parts for $300, plus opto board $100...... empty pockets now. Anyone here got the original ones in good shape? Willing to pay for them....

Is this wiring ok??? On schematics shows J505 pin 2(black-yellow) and J504 pin 3(black)
Well guys,
Great news, a fellow member here contact me and its going to send me the original speakers, I really appreciate this gesture. I live in Bogota, so you guys understand how difficult and expensive is to restore these machines.
I really love this place, will post more photos of this beautiful project.... Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning
Regards,
Gustavo
So the project is looking really good, what do you think guys.....
One question I would like to use a couple of LEDs of n the playfield, blues(sling shots) and purples on the sides, the rest the original lamps, I really like the warm yellow as been designed. What type of leds do you suggest and where can I get them? I guess to replace some 555, 44 and 89 flashers. Thanks
Gustavo
Quoted from PhillyBilly:I have been using a lot of Blue, Purple, and limited green and red and 2 amber to the right of video inserts. Also lit up the grave yard with a 4 inch green LED strip. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND comet pinball. The product is great along with the service and fast shipping. Heck They'll probably ship your order today if you order soon. I am about to put an order in myself.
Thanks, theres lots of different ones, any one in specific ? Thanks
Gustavo
Quoted from terryb:Looks like glow in the dark or UV paint.

Well this mode is from here, it's just a 12v green led strip...
Quoted from PhillyBilly:I kind of did something from similar but I put a 4inch green LED strip from comet above the graveyard.
Wow that looks good too!
Ok guys,
I need advice here, this is what I got so far...
1. Right side Dracula is purple OPTIX MAXIMUS 44 and Row Tower 89
2. Left side Lucy is orange OPTIX MAXIMUS 44 and Row Tower89
3. Slingshot and drains is blue OPTIX MAXIMUS 44
And some blue 906 LIGHTHING effect. Still want the uv coffin mode, any one has this mode?

Quoted from Dee-Bow:Im usually one for color led's but try some clear white's down near the slings & flips. Pretty dark game and you might want some extra light down there.. you will know once you get it back together what YOU want there..personal pref. I wish my playfield was in the condition of yours!!
Thanks, this pin was left in a corner for years at Harley bike bar in Medellin, I was very lucky that no one messes with her. I'm trying to save money to buy his companion..., a T2 in regular shape but restorable..... I hope.
Quoted from weaverj:i don't like regular blue LED's; washes out the artwork too much. comet ice blues are a must. i'd stay away from orange, too; same reason. stick with purple for the top 2/3's of the playfield. reds under the top lane guides, pops and coffin locks. natural white flashers and under inserts. sunlight white in the backbox.
miss my BSD, if you can't tell.
Thanks,I can tell you miss your BSD, pretty sure you can get another one for a fair price, but you better hurry, market is skyrocketing now......
Gustavo
Quoted from Dee-Bow:I'm thinking about selling mine in May and already feel bad! It's too damn fun but neednfunds fir a different project sooooon.
Pity, but sometimes is necessary to connect us to another project, in my case I'll never let it go, I love this pinball already and the movie is amazing, one of the best titles of all time!
Gustavo
Quoted from Hazzard:I guess you really should upgrade your sound with my audio mix then
Lots of movie quotes and the original movie soundtrack!

Quoted from Micky:Where did you get them from?
Hi, hahaha sorry, they're the original ramps but restored, cleaned, no rust, polished and re chrome. They look like new!
Gustavo
Hi Guys,
So we're getting there, magnet test passed with no errors, still waiting flippers kit and LEDs. Need to change some ramp switchs and through ball too.....

Quoted from Kas24:How did you get magnet to pass with no errors? I keep getting a "power error". I replaced both optos and 24 opto board with no change. When the gate opens the ball drops down the magnet doesn't work. Even in test mode I get a "power error". Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hi,
It was some cables close to the magnet, check continuity on all of them, test magnet to be sure its working. Its the motor working ? Use a power supply to check it. Start with the the simple things, loose cables, fuses etc
Well Guys,
I’ve replaced the epot on the sound board and now I can control the volume again, some nice UV light under Dracula’s coffin and finished this restoration.....

Quoted from aobrien5:That is awesome. You should put Mylar or something over it so it lasts longer. Very cool.
Thanks, thats a great idea, I got some mylar around here!
Gustavo
Quoted from aobrien5:Remember to wax it first so it won't peel the paint off in the future!
Thanks, waxed and Mylar layer installed!
Quoted from Mister_Swede:I want the sticker and light do you sell , VERY NICE DONE
Hi, i don't sell this mod, you can do it your self, actually is very easy.
