The parts list, you know I looked at that before posting this question and said "Meh, this won't help". Sigh, its been a long day.

Could you guys tell me which goes where? Long in the back short in the front? I know that is not in the manual, I checked for that.

Long ones go in the back and short in the front.

Thanks again Bryan! You have done so much work on my machine I feel like I should be paying you for it.

So, obviously the shorter pivot nuts were on the back, would that be the cause of the slide assembly slipping off? Just trying to understand how this happened:

I would think so, yes. The entire playfield pivots on the back and if they're not long enough, you could have trouble.

I've seen a number of games with shorter ones in the front and if you look under the playfield, that's usually because there are parts mounted close to the slide assemblies and longer ones would interfere.

Many people who need it probably picked up Bryan Kelly's set.

#2008 5 years ago

His set don't come with this part actually or I would just order a whole set .

Hey Big, my BSD is all torn down right now but I'm sure I can get a pic of that plastic for you. I'm not quite sure which one you are looking for though.

#2010 5 years ago

Its the plastic shroud behind the gravestone with the lights in it.it covers the wires and light sockets

Sorry, this would be way easier if I had my table together. I'm still not sure exactly what your looking for. Could you point out the general area in this pic?

I'm sorry, I completely misread your post. If Glarrownage can't get you pics, I'll pull mine out for you.

If you need more pics or if you know someone who can cast a mold they can use mine as a template.

Any word on some replacement ramps for this brutal game?

#2019 5 years ago

Only that they're in the works...

#2020 5 years ago

Hey everybody, working out some possible sound issues with my BSD. When I run a sound/music test I only have 11 clips that play. Some are music and some are speech. I know there are WAY more than 11 sound clips in the game. Is this correct amount for the test? Can someone run a sound/music test and see how many play on their machine? Thanks as always!!

#2021 5 years ago

Hey guys, I noticed when looking at other peoples pictures, a metal ball guide attached to the left side of the left ramp on my table is different than others. Most other tables have a triangular shaped ball guide (top picture). I seem to have a straight ball guide (bottom picture. Does anyone else have a straight guide on the left side of this ramp or is it just me?

I'll try to remember to do this tonight and report back.

I have two BSD's here and one has the guide with the finger and the other has the straight guide. The finger is there to prevent ball traps. On the one with the straight guide, there should be a couple of plastic posts mounted to the ramp to do the same thing as the finger.

Is this a wood vs metal side rail thing?

Lol. Not really sure. Looks like it was a change made midway through production.

Thanks Bryan, good to know its not just me. I'm going to owe you at least a case of beer when this BSD is all said and done.

Thanks for the pic! It seems like everyone has the triangles.

Funny you mention it. I have the metal ones and the next problem I have to figure out is how to fix the damage on the side rail. I'm thinking maybe black powder coat on the whole thing?

there goes the wood/metal rail thing coinciding with the straight/triangle guard. I have metal rails and a triangle guard.

I have the same scratch in my metal rail, so I'll be interested to see how you fix it.

#2031 5 years ago

If anyone need pics of any assemblies below the playfield (or anything else for that matter) let me know. Mine is totally torn apart now but most of the assemblies are together.

#2032 5 years ago

Hi all,

Between balls there is a score popping up. right now it is 168.000.000, other times it is
199.000.000. What does that mean? is it the replay score?

Based on your description, I would say yes.

hi glarrownage, can you post some pics of the diverter and up/down ramp assemblies. thanks joe

Thirded. I bet this problem is close to universal on metal rail BSDs. I'm admittedly clueless about restoring metal like this, but it seems like there'd be a product you could brush in there and then dab lightly so it would dry to a similar enough texture. Maybe a layer of something else to seal it up. Of course matching the color and texturing would likely be very difficult.

Would it look better than the scratch of outlaner shame, though? Probably.

This will be before you launch the last ball ... indicating what you have to do to earn that replay
It's adjustable in the settings. Yours will be dynamic, if you regularly score big the "to reach"-score will increase, and vise versa

You're absolutely welcome . I am going to try to this for all my fixes and repairs from now on. I feel it's very helpful for anyone interested.

You can only read so much, understand what is being talked about, and follow along with interest. It's a whole different thing to visually see what's happening. Definitely glad to contribute to the community in this way .

So, I decided to go ahead and install the mystery hole cliffy for BSD. And wow, to get to that one area of the game, well, might as well just do a minor shop job while you're in there!

This is the first pin I have ever gone this far with. I have heard BSD is quite a bear to do. So far, lots of photos, couple videos, and some swear words and MacGyverisms - but we are on our way! Some photos of our progress.

I really appreciate that! But, I can tell you I would be no where without the talent pool here on Pinside. Guys like Bryan Kelly and PinballMikeD are huge assets to the hobby the way they share knowledge. Without them passing down their knowledge many more pins would certainly go to waste. I'm just here to learn and subsequently pay it forward as best I can. Feel free to ask any questions you want!

Gotta be careful shortening the spring. If it's too short, the gate won't sit low enough at rest and will get in the way of the ball too much. Since it's not available anymore, you want to protect it (and of course you don't want it interfering with the ball when it shouldn't be).

Finally able to join this club. Wish I had joined years ago when the game was going for under $1000!

Got mine back from York (thanks again Carl!) and now the work begins. The cat is already looking forward to sleeping on the backbox.

Was this the one at the show that was priced at $2k? It looked pretty nice! Played well, seemed to work 100% from what I could tell. Great deal!

Yea I saw 3 or 4 bsd there not sure which you got tho, but all them but the one in the flea market were pretty decent for the price
