Ah, good points on sound quality!
Suppose its more to get some speccy lights on there for effect ! I like a good speaker light upgrade when you see them done right
Noted though !

A Polk10 sub sounds pretty freaking nice with this game and you can hook another 4 games to it. 100 bucks. Talk about a money saver.
Quoted from Da-Shaker:A Polk10 sub sounds pretty freaking nice with this game and you can hook another 4 games to it. 100 bucks. Talk about a money saver.
Yes, a sub can help a lot depending on the game! Now with my old F-14, it would not be the case. Games that old usually lacked the low-end fidelity to even utilize the sub frequencies. For Dracula, I installed the Pinsound Plus sound board and upgraded to their speaker kit and still hooked up my external sub. Their cabinet woofer was so powerful that I had to play with the EQ to keep it from overpowering the external sub which had to be at max volume LOL! But the extra lows make it even better!
I rigged up two flasher boards from Comet Pinball on the rear of back box which I wired to the back glass flasher behind Dracula's face. They flash with the thunder and when he talks. The effect with the thunder and lightning is great!

This has been the best buy for my pin. 400 watts. 200 rms. $200
Wayyyyyy better imo than the Polk 100w.. which is only 50.. and not enough tbh.

I was curious about that one? I'd love to compare them.
The problem with multiple pins and subs, is when you get several people over playing several machines at once, it become a thunder dome! I usually shut the subs off in this case. The Polk 10 is Plenty IMO. The one on my Drac is not a Polk 10 but some cheapo I had from years ago. It does the job though.

How many pins can you hook up to it?
Quoted from Da-Shaker:How many pins can you hook up to it?
With one of these, you can hook up 5 pins to one sub. But, only play one game at a time through it for best results.

I have one of those on my Polk. Definitely worth having the ability to adjust the bass. However, it looks like the sub he was suggesting would only operate 1 pin unless you purchased this add on.

It only adjusts the volume for each pin. I have two 4 ways.
But ya, the Polk 10 allow for two connections in back.
Getting back in the club today. Very excited! Has the typical fade on the cabinet. Any opinions on the best place to get a full cabinet decal set from? Micro? Classic Arcades? I appreciate the help.

I put RadCals from Mirco on mine. Beware though the black background on the left side head panel had a slight purple tint to it. Mirco refused to make it right. You can't tell in a lineup anyway, but it's disappointing. Other than that, the RadCals look freaking amazing!

Did you take off the rails to install? Or did you just slap it on like they say you can without really having to prep the cab?

I had the rails off for powder coating anyway. It was a complete teardown and rebuild. I've never tried it with rails on, but I can see how it would work.

Radcals will fit just below the standard rails without removing them. I’ve done 4 pins so far with them (TOTAN, FT, CV) but the 4th pin was Bad Cats, and that’s a Sys11 with the wider rails. The Radcals did not fit under the rails, they would hang off the bottom by an inch or more. Mirco said that was intentional and to install them beneath the rails, which I really had a hard time believing. The rail wouldn’t fit well, if it fit at all. I think he simply uses a template to cut them, and they are all designed for the thin rails on WPC era pins. I ended up trimming mine to fit up against the rail. Also, you definitely want to prep your cab even with Radcals. They won’t adhere well unless you have a smooth, flat surface. I sanded any areas that weren’t flat, and filled any scratches or dents. There are pros/cons for both Radcals and decals.

Mirco is not a company I'd do business with. I'm glad your Radcals turned out OK.
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:Mirco is not a company I'd do business with. I'm glad your Radcals turned out OK. You got lucky.
I most recently restored a cab with decals and it turned out great. I would probably lean toward decals on future restorations, ($150 cheaper, and I like the fit/finish of decals) although my pins with Radcals did turn out awesome.
Here is my 2 cents:
1. For certain games radcals are hard to beat - personally BSD and Addams Family look great
2. Still need to prep as others have stated and getting everything lined up is trickier and making minor adjustments is more difficult than working with decals
3. Dealing with Mirco if you have issues is like sticking your hand in a blender - his manufacturing is not consistent but in fairness I have also had quality issues when using decals. One cabinet radcal had burrs along the bottom and I spent hours cleaning it up, and another the leg cut out was out of shape.
4. I would not recommend rad cals for TOTAN - the colour was terrible
5. Cool cat pinball has great taste in flooring

Wow! Looks amazing man.
I got really lucky with mine and found one 11 years ago with Zero fade.. however the front was drilled into so I've wanted to change that, but hard to justify the $399 for just a front piece, and original sideart that's almost too good to lay over top of.

I agree the color can be a bit different and less vibrant than decals. My TOTAN turned out nice, but I do agree the color isn’t identical. On my CV either.

Hi all,
I've been busy getting my pin ready for Pinfest here in the UK.
However I can't for the life of me to get my skillshot shooting reliably.
At present it makes its way round the orbit, through the gate and sometimes doesn't have enough momentum to hit the target and 1 in 3 times will fall short and just end up in the roll over switches.
I've tried the following
- Replaced the one way gate as it was sometimes sticking
- Replaced the coil sleeve and spring for the shooter lane coil.
- Adjusted the coil to get it to seat behind the ball
-Adjusted and fiddled with the shooter lane plastic, moving it back and forward a mm or so.
I suspect my shooter lane plastic is slightly warped as it doesn't rest straight.
The ball will often hop as it comes off the ramp and into the orbit. That's where it appears to loose momentum.
Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.

I know on mine when it wasnt making it all the time, the coil and bracket were loose. When I made sure nothing moved when the coil fired is when I got reliable hits everytime.
Quoted from dr_nybble:Take a slow-mo video with your phone and see if you can spot where the launch goes awry.
So it often comes out at speed and such velocity that it hits the gate awkwardly and then looses momentum.
For clarification this machine has had a playfield swap and the ramps were changed.
The ramps although visually looked better than mine I'm worried the shooter lane plastic vis to blame as I didn't have this issue previously. However that was before the swap.
Coil has been adjusted and tightened in response to the other comment

Make sure that the end of the plastic shooter lane ramp goes over the metal ball guide. I initially installed the plastic shooter lane ramp with the end of the ramp under the metal ball guide on my BSD and the ball would rarely make it to the drop target. I believe that the ball would lose of some of its momentum by grazing the lip of the metal ball guide.
After re-installing the plastic shooter lane ramp on my BSD with the end of the ramp going over the metal ball guide it now hits the drop target every time. The photos show how the shooter lane ramp is installed on my BSD and ball launches hit the drop target every time now.

Cats out of the bag now I suppose
Hopefully Starship Fantasy makes the replacement ramps soon. For now I'll work on some temporary measure to make the skillshot 100%.
It's been about 10 months in the making.
I'll upload a video soon.

I did the concept, design and all the funding for the initial playfield with restored by Scott. Cost me over 3k.
To see it copied more than once too, is pretty disappointing as I've had no thanks or compensation whatsoever from him and it was to be a one off. Like the T2, Monster Bash and Mad Max I did with him.
Anyway people are people.
Hats off though it looks great! I want to do another one one day but will go a better route with the playfield quality. He just uses a sticker and clears over it.
Maybe the guy who has mine now will sell it back to me!
What a game it is!
The wheels are in motion to do a propper gothic version playfield by others, and when done hopefully it gets announced here.

Hmm I can't comment on the playfield element but glad you like it. Wasn't out there to copy as you can see my speaker panel, back glass, cabinet and coffin are all different.
Would be great to see what you come up with next. Keep up the good work!

Quoted from davebart5:Here's a video showing the second Pinsound installment, Expanded Mix - Lucy v2, exploring the horrible condition of poor little Lucy.
This is a sample game that covered a lot of ground, although the camera angle isn't the greatest and it's mid-day. I avoided hitting the skill shot to hear as many coffin shots as possible. The credit dot is the "check under shooter ramp" switch that pops up every once in a while, so not affecting play.
This mix is meant to be paired with the Dracula version just released, Expanded Mix - Dracula v2, with the intention to flip between battling Dracula and the concubines to then racing to solve Lucy's affliction ball to ball or each game.
Lucy's mix features her own intro music, launch sounds, and mid-game phrases, so you'll always know which mix you're on when switching or prior to launching into the game. Lucy has her own video target sounds, video mode intros, a unique full coffin shot/lock/jackpot sequence, her own castle locks/jackpot sequences, and more. You'll hear less Dracula, more Lucy and the doctors racing to save her.
The coffin shots detail Lucy's experience turning into a vampire, and each shot has multiple sounds to choose from that fit the phase of transformation it represents. First shot is the episode of the werewolf attacking her. Second shot is her reacting to the attack. Third shot is her describing new sensations. Fourth shot is an outburst that is clear evidence she's different and dangerous. Final shot is the coffin opening. Ball locks, stake hits, and the jackpot are all new and all Lucy.
I should have Lucy ready for consumption any day now. Just a few more tweaks. And as usual, there so much the video doesn't show, as each action can have multiple sounds to choose from, so you'll have to explore it.
Is this still available on the pinsound site? I didn’t see it

In my opinion, the one done by HAZZARD is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!
I downloaded all you could, and the Hazzard and original are Fantastic.
