Quoted from Beechwood:

That Elvira though... Nice! Makes me want to restore mine.

Thanks! It's a relatively easy machine to restore. Plus CPR has all the ramps, plastics, playfield, backglass, etc... Just a matter of time and effort.

Quoted from Mr_Positive:

I figured that would be the answer. Looks like Q5 on the Fliptronic board (TIP102). I'll go down that path...
Thanks!

No joy here. I replaced Q5 and the coil. I thought it was fixed, but when I tested the coil in test mode, it wouldn't engage at all. I then found the fuse was popped. After replacing the fuse, it was totally locked on again and cooked itself.

Has anyone powdercoated their wire forms in this game?
I’m tossing up whether to do blood red ones or stick with stainless

Someone did a nice job on your Ron Jeremy!
The pop number caps look good in orange as well

#9208 50 days ago

Just linking this here in case anyone else has this issue where the right mist gate closes prematurely when the magnet is dragging the ball left to right. Turns out adding a capacitor to the fliptronics board fixes it. This problem came up so rarely that I didn't think much of it, until running the magnet test and seeing that it never loaded it on the right properly.

Thanks Inittowinit ive decided to go with blood red
On another note, what screws into the backboard? I can seem to locate the normal triangle brackets and there is no screw points for them on the playfield

I’m Away with work but can check on Friday or hopefully someone else can chime in

#9212 50 days ago

It's the the angled pivot lock brackets. Use pop screws...

Really missing Drac lately...might be time to build another!

Don't go red imo. My first BSD had red and it looked ridiculous (imo). Standard chrome is the go I reckon.

I actually don’t mind the look of that red to be honest - blood trails

#9215 48 days ago

If I ever do my ramps again, I’ll get them done in Shadow Chrome; now that looks mad

#9216 48 days ago

I had one with a deep blood red that looked good.

Thanks for the pics people!
I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out how these 2 sections are supposed to look. I can’t seem to find the correct posts or screws into the pop bumper
Any pics would help because as per normal I didn’t take enough

On the top pic, I assume you're referring to the threaded post that sticks up pretty high? That's correct. The coffin ramp wireform bolts onto that. It still sticks up a bit. I put a 7/16" od rubber on top of mine to dress it up a bit.

I’m actually struggling to figure out which rounded posts belong where and which hex posts belong where. The manual on has the sizing, not any of the locations. So I’m all over the place with the height of each one and where it belongs. Is there any guides at all?

This will help had the same problem when putting mine back together, got these from Hep!

Awesome I’ll try these cheers!
Looks like I’ll still have to figure out the hex posts under the village, on top of the mist gate and the 2 on top of the right slingshot

On my machine, someone had rigged these entire areas you're referring to with long flathead machine screws and stop nuts. I had nothing to go on but the shop pics here on pinside. I ended up ordering a good assortment of various length hex posts and standoffs. Lots of them actually. I then kept messing around with it, until I figured out what I believe to be correct. Now I have alot of leftover hex posts, which has already come in handy.

The HEP pics got me sorted with the round posts perfect. The hex posts I can’t tell the size from the pinside pics, I guess it’s trial and error though ordering extra hex posts isn’t such a bad idea

Swapped out the plastic under the village and now the mist gate is sticking in the up position. I didn’t disconnect the spring so I’m not sure why this is happening. Thoughts

Might have put the posts that hold up the village in the wrong position? If the lower one isn’t high enough the gate with catch

Question, where do you guys buy your balls from?
I had the balls sticking when in mist mode, I replaced the balls with new ones and it's still doing it.

I got these from Titan, I think when I bought some rubber.

I went ahead and placed an order thru Pinball Life.

#9231 43 days ago

I’m officially stumped and have tried looking at a million photos to determine which size hex spacers belong where. Can someone please measure the length of each of the circled posts in these pics? The ones there are not correct

I always get pin balls from Pinball Life.
But if you mean that a ball sticks to the Mist ball when it's moving across the playfield, that's normal LOL. It's magnetized by the moving magnet below. Sorry if I misunderstood you.
BTW, that's part of what makes the Mist ball toy so awesome! It happens fairly often. That, or your ball knocks the Mist ball off the magnet and gets caught by the magnet itself! It can be maddening at times!

Replaced the balls and all good. I was starting to think I didn't hit the ball hard enough to knock it off, but it was happening a lot.
I'm sure the balls get magnetized over time and they have to be replaced.

Use carbon balls not Ninja or chrome

Silly question
How do you bolt the main ramp down to the rear posts with the graveyard on there?
Or do you remove the graveyard from the ramp first?

Yeah, it's a jacked up design. I pulled it off along with the ramp if I remember correctly.

Asking for a friend: would anyone know of a playfield overlay for Dracula ?

I know of Mirco playfield, but I'd prefer to stay away given their history

Still much better than an overlay…imo. If ur worried about the playfield CC ? Get it redone

Hi everyone. I'm following this thread because Dracula will be my next ramps. I am aware of the Mirco playfield problem in JJP games. Have there been systemic problems with their remakes?

I’m not up to speed on the Mirco issues but I’m 100% in on ramps . Please contact me when they’re ready .
