got mine in automotive section of walmart

Can someone please follow the backbone/dmd speaker wires off their display panel to tell me where they connect to? ive put my machine back together and for the life of me I can't find where one of the 4 pin plugs, single black wire from it connects.

On the sound board the 4pin with single black goes to j504.

I have one plugged into 504, my loom has a connector on it with another 4 pin single wire. Do both go to 504 slots? My photos only had one occupied at tear down.

It’s the black/yellow I need a home for

Black and yellow is for the panel speaker. J505, to the left, next to J504.

Sadly I don’t know. But I can ask my fried the former owner. He seemed to have installed just about every mod out there that is is good taste imoa. The crosses on the speakers are magnetic so they pop off and on easily.

Someone mentioned Walmart for cross stickers. These ones look pretty good. 3m peal and stick.

Three different BSD’s in my collection at the same time, all three set up and playing great… (though one is a loner from a friend for our league):

My coin lights blink on and off with the sounds of the game. This is awesome and I’m hoping it’s normal. Either that or I have a ground issue. The game came from Germany and has 3 coin takers.

Why have one BSD when you could have three?

How many and what color Vinyl rubber switch covers are there on BSD? Parts numbers would be great .

Good day.
Does anybody know if I can use a replacement bridge rectifier with a higher voltage on the power driver board for br1?

One in question is a KBPC3508W

A higher voltage rating is perfectly OK, but you might run into fitment issues if the form factor is bigger.

Hello fellow vampires,

anybody out there who could and would provide me with the files to get a PIN2DMD to work with BSD? Thanks in advance!

Can someone tell me if it's possible to turn off the knocker? I don't care for it....and I could not find the setting to disable it.

Most knockers have a simple molex connector attached to the knocker coil in the head (or in the cab on some games). You can simply unplug it. I don’t care for knockers and I unplug mine.

Got 30 MILLION twice in one game today, yet just barely missed passing my grand champ score. Satisfying and frustrating all at once.

I'll be joining the club for the 4th time on Saturday. Has anyone owned BSD more than 4 times?

Just got my first BSD, finally.

Does anyone know what font is used for the inserts? I need to repair a couple and haven't had much luck identifying the fonts.

Thanks.

I’ve raised, lowered and adjusted the Castle lock ball rail and can’t get the ball to stay on with a clean shot. I’ve also added some felt around the metal up/down bend, in addition to where the ball drops onto the rail to slow the ball down. Is this standard on BSD or is there a fix? Maybe I over waxed the play field and the ball is going to fast. I’m going to try and lower my coil power today.

#8880 5 months ago

I joined the club last week. I've been playing non stop. I re-watched the movie over the weekend and it made me want to play the game even more.

I've had this specific issue right after waxing. My fix was to cut a beer koozie, and double sided tape a strip of it on the metal ramp diverter. Slowed it down just enough that the ball wouldn't fall off after getting diverted to castle lock.

Thank you, I tried that and it does help, but the ball still flies off 1 out of 5 shots. I did notice there is a significant drop from the castle ramp to the wire form, just after the turn. I tried to raise the drop by adding foam, but it still doesn't fix it. I was able to add a post rubber over the targets to raise the ball rail even more. This seemed to help too. I haven't yet loosened the wire form at the castle itself yet. I'm not sure if that would help. I'm hoping decreasing the coil power will solve the problem. I'll report back

#8883 5 months ago

Mine only does that after a fresh wax.

I resisted color DMD for a long time really liking the red and thinking it was fitting for the title, but finally caved and installed. Definitely a necessary upgrade.

Your old play field looks better than mine. I have some planking. I’ll have to try and swap play fields one day. This would be a good machine to try it on. I just don’t want to get stuck half way and mess it up.

Mine has raised inserts and mild planking all over the place. I do have a nice used playfield that came with the machine, but I opted for a new one from mirco. Enough work for tonight.

I bought one and didn't care for it. When not lit, the reds were too orange.

I think the original looks way better.

Maybe you got a misprinted one? The reds on mine are a nice deep RED and the mirrored portions around the Dracula logo look stunning.

What’s this amateur hour?

Already have one with a chrome lift channel. I keep the alt translite framed so I can swap in and out every few weeks to switch it up. Plug and play.

I’ll have one shortly when I swap mine out with the NOS HEP clearcoated playfield I have.

You all have me wanting to get mine out of storage...never set it up as had too many ahead. TZ is next, then Dracula for sure. Best part is it has new pf already, but need to add the pinsound and color dmd. Side note, it does have the Retro Refurb crate decal, translite and speaker panel, it looks good though, so I'm ok with that. Plus compared to today, the price was more than right. Will post pic on set up.
