Quoted from Colsond3:

Yeah, PPS & Jeff at Classic Arcades did a few runs of these (and sell on eBay) where the blue is off and the yellow border is way off (light yellow compared to the original dark mustard yellow). I’ve heard Marco plastics match pretty well.

Classic Arcades is the seller I got them from, do not recommend. I ordered them months ago but just got started on the project, if it wasn't so long ago I would be trying to get my money back.

Classic Arcades sell some pretty rubbish repros. A lot of their plastics are the wrong colours.

Just finished UV painting the grave stones.

Installed PinSound and speakers today, davebart5’s expanded mix 1.1.
Then played a game!

Awesome - pinsound is a must on this game!

Sounds like there's a improvement with dracs laugh upon coffin ball locks but, is it missing I just want to cut off her head and pull out her heart? Overall sounds great and good playing !

It’s the same as it was, there’s just multiple versions of the laugh to encounter when you lock a ball. If you want a custom version, I could easily remove the laugh you don’t like and send you a copy. Would take me no time at all whenever I sit down in my editing mode again.

The cut off her head and heart line is there upon lighting the castle jackpot insert.

Nice looking game. Seems like it plays fast and mean. That’s how I like mine.

And that Ball 1 was a monster. Triple stack came together well.

I was lucky to get a decent game, was the second take.
This game just kicks your butt 99% of the time, I love it!

Great work on the mix, thank you. Going to creep me out late at night down in my room.

Well then I say mission accomplished! My goal was to up the ante on the creepiness, haha.

hopefully, i figured out my weird issues that seemed to start around the time i tried to add pinsound. i called in the big guns, jim from jt amusements. he was diagnosing for a while, had the power board out ready to start soldering some new components, then the idea of replacing the ribbon cable popped in his head. turns out the one i have from the cpu to the power board isn't even the right one. he popped a new little shorty in there and everything started working.

pretty sure someone on here suggested that and i was on that path, but just didn't get there. i ordered a new game rom and sound roms, sort of with that same idea of weird stuff happening that didn't make sense with normal troubleshooting. eh, oh well.

i think i wanna try the board again, but i just might do the factory sound package. sorry, i'm an old school guy; like the original stuff. my question is would the stereo conversion pinsound offers be beneficial with me only using the factory sounds?

Short answer, no. The factory sounds are provided in mono. I don’t see a reason to spend the $ on a PinSound if you plan on keeping the original sounds. Buy an external sub like the reasonable Polk and possibly a pinnovator board if they make one for BSD to hook it up. Just my opinion. If you already have a PinSound use it in on a different game or sell it as they keep their value well.

#7063 4 years ago

ok, how about this? i'll put the remixes on there, too, then i can switch between them when i want. it just looks weird having all rottendog replacement boards, then a factory sound board. know what i'm saying?

maybe i'll mess with that tonight, if i get bored.

Yup, you could do that. Those original WPC sound boards sell for $200-$250 currently if you want to sell off.

So I just received the prototype plastics that go over the slings and I'm a bit confused as to how they are meant to be mounted. By the looks of the few terrible pictures I've seen, they seem to be raised quite a bit from the other sling plastics. What exactly do I need to mount them?

They mount on top of the regular slingshot plaastics with such a kit: https://shop.thepinwitch.com/Geraetespezifisches/Williams-75/Dracula/Befestigungskit-fuer-Prototyp---Slingshotplastics-Dracula.html?language=de

I just removed my prototype slingshot plastics, they have been annoying for quite a while. They just get in the way plus they look a bit weird.

Hello from Germany!

I would like to introduce myself as an owner of this great machine. Currently I'm in the process of pimping it up a bit. Can anybody point me in the right direction for one of those coffin mods by Brock? He doesn't seem to be active anymore. Never got an answer to my messages.

Thanks for each hint!

Where can I get v1.1? I got v1 only...

Here you go - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KPkBx5KwGHAzTfFXb0MVwrWqgPWaOm4X?usp=sharing

1.1 has been unintentionally an owner's club exclusive and I need to get it on Pinsound to replace the original 1.0 from Halloween night.

I'll be sitting down to work on a 1.2 real soon which will include more refined volume levels, and adding some new sounds to the package overall. I've got some cool ideas brewing I may experiment with to even further enhance this experience. Stand by for that...

Lastly, I've noticed on mine and in LostCause's video, that the Mist intro music that plays while the ball is rolling across the PF doesn't always trigger. I have to get with Nicolas at Pinsound to see why that is, and if there's a way to ensure it always registers.

#7072 4 years ago

I was under the impression plastic sets could not be picked up any longer but I found a set at pinball decals if anyone is looking

Thanks! looking forward to the next version... Great work! You should get commissions from Pinsound. I bought the board just due to your fantastic sound package.

Unplug it for now. All you lose is the lights in the head but you can still play the game.

Does anyone know where I can get the wire for the right side magnet gate? Does anyone know the actual measurements for it and the correct gauge of wire?

Is Marcos out of stock? They usually have it.

#7080 4 years ago

I see Netflix has a new Dracula series coming. I hope after a few seasons its pinworthy.

#7081 4 years ago
Quoted from aobrien5:

They were out of stock on the wire for the right gate but they had the assembly that is the wire and the bracket in stock so I ordered that. They sent me the right bracket and the left wire. Super frustrating as I only order from them as a last resort. To go to the entire hassle of ordering from them as a Canadian and end up with two parts I don't need and not get the one thing I do. Now I ordered their wire bending kit it costs more money. I have to go through the whole hassle again and then try and make the part myself.

If anyone has a BSD apart and can snap a few pics of the wire next to a ruler I would really appreciate it. Even better is if anyone has an extra shoot me a PM.

#7082 4 years ago

Just joined the club a couple of weeks ago- loving it so far. I switched out the lightning flippers, since the game seems hard enough and Barry has said he didn't design the game to be played with them. But after playing it for a while with standard flippers, I'm going to switch back. I like this game a little meaner. It should be really hard to stack those multiballs.

Also thinking of doing this! Guessing Dremel them out and stick a led strip on there?

#7088 4 years ago

Anyone know where to get BSD ramp flaps? Pinbits is sold out and I'm not sure if will stock again. Thanks!

#7089 4 years ago

That lit up village looks great. Is it as simple as dremeling out the windows and adding an LED strip inside?

#7090 4 years ago

Looking for the right slingshot plastic for my game. Anyone have one they are willing to part with please?

#7091 4 years ago

Can anyone help a BSD brother out with this metal piece under the village? Any extras or repros out there?

Mine is missing from my game and seems to be why my village leans forward a little too much. Didn’t realize it was a thing until recently. Photos are from a friend’s game.

Has anyone put a rubber gromet or foam pad on the castle return ramp by the right flipper. The ball returns way too fast on my machine and when you get in a rhythm hitting the left ramp it starts to create airballs up the ramp on the second and third shot.

I was thinking like a foam pad kind of like on Elvira and the Party monsters or a rubber gromet like on most new sterns to slow hte ball down before dropping in the hole to the flipper.

Does anyone have a link? I figure one of the craft shops will have something but wanted to see what others have used. I even though about a felt furniture pad that you put on bottom of furniture legs.

#7093 4 years ago

Hey guys, I just picked up a bsd, I have a few extras I’m selling.

I have the pinball customs coffin mod, what would that be worth?

I also have a near complete plastic set.

Original trans light.

I have a very nice used playfield that I kept after I did a pf swap for a friend last year. He didn't want mylar so he bought a mirco pf, but otherwise there was no need to swap it. It is a Sun Process pf as well. I was going to remove the mylar, re-clear it and install it in a diff game but that's no longer my plan. PM me for deets if you are interested.
