Posted a while back that I was having that “two balls kicking out into the shooter lane” issue. After re-soldering some lugs, playing with all the switches repeatedly, replacing a diode, and screwing around with it 4 or 5 times, I was directed to this thread:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bsd-problem-machine-puts-2-balls-into-play
Just fixed the issue. The trough kick up arm was moving kind of sluggishly, gummed up. Apparently, if it even takes an extra half second to reset to resting position, the stuck actuator tricks the CPU into thinking another ball is needed. Disassembled and cleaned it all out as others have said in that thread, and the issue was rectified.
So when everybody jumps to an opto issue, if you have this problem don’t be so quick. A simple cleaning the mech with isopropyl and a Q-tip and applying a bit of lube gel, and you’re back in business.
Took care of the credit dot, and she’s back up 100%.

not supposed to lube a pin, brah. it'll work for a while, but dirt will mix in with it and gum it up, again.

I didn’t lube the pin brah...
I put a dab around the oval hole where the kicker arm slides through the bracket. There are little grooves in there from crappy factory fabrication (seen on other WPC games), and in my experience it prevents the kicker arm from getting held up. I already filed this one down and smoothed it out also.
I also use a tiny dab on shooter rods on older solid-state and EM games too. As long as you take care of your games and clean them at least occasionally, it doesn’t create a problem. You just never glob it on. A little dab spread out with your finger before the spring makes the shooter quiet and smooth as hell.
Purchased a new Mirco BSD playfield at Allentown and just about done with the parts transfer. It's a really well done playfield and looks beautiful!
Having put in all this work (and $$) into the restoration, I thought it would be nice to have fresh, clean, less banged up and more robust weldments installed.
Would any guys out there be interested in replacement weldments for their game? I'm looking into having a set made and wondering what the interest would be.
Can't wait to have this game up and running again!

You talking about weldments inside the cab ?
Quoted from Colsond3:Found this red resin skull at Pinfest...just toying around to see what it’s like backlit.
It'll match your red trim!!!
Quoted from Pinballerchef:You talking about weldments inside the cab ?
Yes, the weldments like the VUK brackets and scoops, etc.. Mounted to the underside of the playfield. They get pretty banged up, so fresh new ones would look nice.
Quoted from cheshirefilms:Pinstadium installed along with new pop skirts to finish up the blue moon pop bumper conversion.
Looks good...what’s it look like when you set it to more white than blue?
Looks like someone else was glad Drac’s back up and running...so crazy my 5 year old daughter loves this pin. And I had to laugh my ass off when she threw her arms up in a WTF moment after draining the ball SDTM off the center stand ups.

Lol that’s awesome. BSD will drive ya mad no matter what your age!
Damn them center targets! This is my 3yr old neice Bentley! (I miss my BSD dammit!)

Quoted from cheshirefilms:Sure, take a look.. but I think I prefer the "mood" of the blue night, at least as a default during standby mode. I asked Pinstadium about the option to switch profiles automatically on "start"..
Man, that kit really brightens the PF up. I have LED ring pop caps on mine too, and those light up the top of the PF so much better.
I agree. If you could leave it blue and then switch to white at start up, that would be perfect.

Pinstadium told me today they'll have a "favorites" setting for the settings enabled soon-
Thereby, one touch on your phone can change the settings between "standby" and "live"- so to speak
But as for the lights detecting standby vs. gameplay- and changing color schemes accordingly- they're not there yet.
Quoted from pinball_customs:Hey gang! Offering my coffin mod for what is likely to be the last time. $180usd shipped within NA, $225 overseas. I have 4 available. Also have one "oops" one that is 1/4" too short on the bottom, but it still fits fine. $100usd shipped on that one.
I'd love one of these- at least to hold on to for the future- but what about the urban legend that these will take a very long time to ship from date of order?

He said they were made and ready to ship...its when he's doing the work that you'll have wait. But when he says he has'em.....he has'em!

I don't like the pin stadiums on BSD...the village plastics take up too much side real estate for them to to truly effective. But in that pic you need to dim the whites down a bit...make it more gloomy. The blue is too much...blue.

Correct. These are in stock and ready to ship. I won't be doing presales anymore, my schedule is too hectic.

What speaker light kit is that? I just installed a Flipper Fidelity system on my BSD and would like to light up the speakers like that. Very nice
Quoted from weaverj:get an external sub!
The BSD with Flipper Fidelity 8" sub is already loud enough to rattle the glass and blow my ears out. I have the FF 8" kit and Velodyne sub connected to the METLE and it's cool, but overkill for my needs. Don't want my neighbors to hate me, lol.

Thanks. I have it evened out with the matching lighted flipper buttons. It’s the BriteSound SF LED kit from PBL. I have it set to the pulsating setting which simulates a heartbeat. Very fitting for the game.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:In the club!
Congrats Alex... Looks like a nice example. Like the black powder. Keep him out of the sun down there

Game looks nice. Cool looking topper too!

Looks great, thanks for the info. I’ll have to order a red speaker light kit to match the red LED flipper buttons. Gonna change the rails, lockdown, hinges and legs to glossy powder coated black soon. Such a great game

I had more time to play around with settings today. Village didn't seem to obstruct the lighting at all. Game looked half unlit without it even with CT LED conversion.

Hmmm yeah you may be onto to something...can you take a pic of the left side of your machine with them attached? I have little room on mine but may just use a set of pinstadiums to play around with...I have them on my BR.
I'm sure this has been asked but I can't find it. Are there specific optos for the long beam mist? Mine is super flaky. In switch test it goes on off on off without even being messed with. I got the home pin 24 opto board because it wasn't working. Then it worked fine know it's flaky.
Quoted from neverahighscore:Good choice of trim color right Colson!
Congrats, game looks sweet!
I knew you’d come around! Bastard.

Thanks guys! I'm definitely thrilled!
First tests (not my machine tho).

Yes, the long beam opto is a different part. Should be in the manual.

Yeah, the kit definitely lights up the sides and the ramps much better.

Wow, your a real fan of the movie just like some of us!
Have you heard my pinsound mix with the movie soundtrack and lots of audio clips/dialogue from the movie?
