NEW STORY ON POST#52 Eating Young Poo May Make You live Longer

The house, located at 11222 Dilling Street in Studio City, CA., is listed for $1.85 million in the multiple listings service and just went on the market. The listing calls the property “the second-most photographed home in the United States,” after the White House.

The residence is two bedrooms with three bathrooms and has two master suites. It boasts 2477 square feet on a lot size approximately a third of an acre. The house is on sale for the first time in 45 years, having been bought by its current owners in 1973.

    Only 2 bedrooms??? wow.

    #4 5 years ago

ForceFlow thinking about buying it? We know that the Mods are paid well around here.

Added: A friend of mine when she was small was filmed at Kings Island amusement park when they did that episode in the background. She also saw some of the other actors. I grew up watching that show on Fridays.

Added more: Read the book Growing Up Brady. You learn more about the show in it.

I think I could find a better use for $1.8M if I had it

It's only worth that if it still has the avocado green kitchen appliances with the orange formica counter tops.

Yes, we know your love for all things avocado, but it looks like it is priced right for that neighborhood.

It does have some vintage paneling in the living room though...

It was however way ahead of the times with one of the first drought tolerant back yards in all of So Cal. Now everybody's doing it.

I wonder if the lawn is artificial grass.

The inside of the “Brady” house doesn’t exist, it was all sets.

The outside looks weird without the little window in the middle.

Wonder if it’s got lots of room for pins?

    #13 5 years ago

Let's send o-din over to check it out and if it meets his approval?

The book Greg wrote about the series even points out mistakes in episodes also and what ever did happen to Tiger?

Looks like it's been upgraded to one of those smart houses with all the latest and greatest electronic features.

That’s actually kinda awesome in a retro future kind of way.

    Quoted from gunstarhero:

Yes, but that’s the beauty of buying this place.
If you’re beyond hardcore (which is albacore) like O-Din is, you can gut the place and re-create all that Brady set/show glory in the original house, but with one TINY twist...
A $#!t-ton of pinball machines in the living room.

Edit: Oh, and a Noone Lagoon!

When I was a kid a ton of my friends' houses had those intercoms but they never worked. Houses were all built in the 50s probably.

    #18 5 years ago

There's an article now stating that it may be torn down by developers. This was basically the plot of the Brady Bunch movie.

    #19 5 years ago
    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

When I was a kid a ton of my friends' houses had those intercoms but they never worked.

My buddy's house had one that worked with the built in tuner. You should have heard Smokin' in the Boys Room blasting out of those speakers.

    Quoted from Grayman_EM:

Added: A friend of mine when she was small was filmed at Kings Island amusement park when they did that episode in the background.

I went to school with the nerdy kid that played the accordion during the talent show. His name is Joseph Tatner.

    Looks like a terrible location.

But then again, it's probably no worse than most areas in LA.

And an Alice comes with it.

    Gotta have an Alice!

But but, there’s a Michael’s a hop skip and a pole vault away!

Who doesn’t love to get crafty every now and then? Especially in today’s custom themed tote-crazed climate.

I kind of had a thing for Jan when she did that teenage runaway thing.

Somehow. I could see us as 13 year olds arguing, Jan vs Marsha, Ginger vs Maryann....

    #27 5 years ago

I had a thing for Cindy, until she tattled on me... Lisps are so sexy...

    #28 5 years ago
    Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Somehow. I could see us as 13 year olds arguing, Jan vs Marsha, Ginger vs Maryann..

It was more of a competition between the girls of after school specials.

Linda Blair as the teenage alcoholic vs. Eve Plumb as the teenage runaway.

The Brady Bunch was the gateway drug to my pinball addiction ...

If nothing else, the Brady Bunch taught a whole generation of young impressionable children how to be cool.

Jesse James....he was a mean dirty killer....a mean dirty killer....

By the way I found Eve Plumb in a old Burger Chef commercial from 1981? But I couldn't figure how to link it from there to here. Go watch it if you like Jan.

Eve Plumb wasn't the only Brady kid so underpaid, that they had to find another way to supplement their income.

Peter was the last one I saw in a commercial it was for hair replacement balding men? He was one of the clients.

Also Cindy got fired from her radio job in California there.

No lines in that commercial. Means he didnt get paid very well or residuals.
    Poor Greg.
For the record, Marsha and Ginger!

    #48 5 years ago

Not necessarily. I have had no lines and paid SAG rates and residuals before

Same here, but that was late 1970's sag.
I sure his buy out was nice, but agent still took big chunk.
Many of Brady cast has spoken out about there reruns residuals and getting robbed.
