Sometimes the bracket is not centered with the hole from backbox. There is a few things you can do:
- Fold the backbox down and make sure the bolts can go in.
- Verify the brackets aren't bent, otherwise the hole will be angled and will not grab easily.
- If you stripped the bolts, get new ones from the hardware store. You don't want damage the threads of the bracket.
FWIW, I have had to pull/push on the back box to get the bolts to line up in the past on some machines.
