TL;DR: Is there anything about my home electrical system that could fry BR4 bridge rectifiers on multiple WPC-S games, or am I just BR4-unlucky?

A few months ago, the flashers on my World Cup Soccer '94 suddenly stopped working. I narrowed the issue down to BR4, replaced the part, and everything worked fine after that. A couple of weeks ago, I traded that machine out for a Shadow in excellent condition. It went into the same space that WCS used to occupy, using the same outlet. The machine had been working great until tonight, when I noticed that none of the flashers were working. My troubleshooting felt eerily familiar as I narrowed the problem down to a dead BR4, once again! Just curious, is there anything about my setup, outlet, or home electrical system that could be exacerbating this problem of BR4s dying on different machines, or should I just chalk it up to coincidence?

Thanks for your help! I wouldn't have been able to isolate this problem in the first place without the helpful posts on Pinside.
