    Quoted from TheLaw:

The $1 was too much. Did you know it was "only" 1 dollar?

$1 per event per person. This adds up a lot. Just for my league, we are suppose to drop $44 of our prize pool to them for every submission for these "points"?

I cannot discuss any of this with a Wisonsonion...I have no idea what kind of backwoods laws you freaks have there.

I thought it was totally illegal to get prize monies there?

Only if you think WPPRs are worth 44 bucks. If the price is too high, don't buy! IFPA isn't a tax, it's an opt-in system.

    Quoted from Marvin:

i.e, this does not funnel enough money to us top players. They already said this is not about admin costs and solely about payouts, who benefits from that, the people making the rules.
Thanks for taking a stand Bowen.

It's not about amounts people get paid personally, it's about amounts that will attract media attention. The whole point is to try to make the SCS and Nationals something the media will pay attention to and provide coverage of.

This has been discussed a few times. If bowen kerrins were to run a league like this, Bowen could make each league "event" part of a one-year season, and then Bowen could avoid paying the $1 fee 44 weeks a year, while still paying out to the winners. Bowen would just have to hold a finals at the end of the year. I think. Perhaps IFPA pinball can offer some clarification if this scenario would work if Bowen Kerrins were running a league in Wisconsin.
