I've been in the arcade hobby for a while, I have a few games and I've been pretty good at repairing them. I just picked up an Elektra missing the back glass for $133. It plays OK but there's no sound. The battery wasn't leaking yet (it's the original) but I cut it off anyways and replaced it. The only other problems I noticed (besides needing a good cleaning) is sometimes it has a hard time kicking a ball up into the ramp to start a game and sometimes it has a hard time kicking it out of the ball lock hole on the right side of the lower playfield but I haven't leveled it with a level yet, just by eye. I'm not sure if that's causing it.

Where's the best place for parts and balls? I know I'll need new balls, it had three in it not counting the one stuck in the basement playfield, Is that correct?

I'll definitely be replacing the rubbers asap, I'll probably wait on the plastics for now. From what I can see, it's all blown bulbs, those will be the first things I replace, does anyone have a part number on them?

I bumped into an old aquantience of mine and he had this, a Galaga in a Galaxin cab and an Outrun upright that had been sitting in his ex-wife's shed for the last ten years. He said they all worked when he put them in there, Galaga and Outrun fired right up. I got all three for $400.

I've been wanting a pin for a while but everything around here is $1200 minimum. If the pin bug is anything like the arcade bug then I'm in trouble.

My "gonna have" list:

Robocop
T2
Starship Troopers
Nightmare on Elm st
Judge Dredd
Dr. Dude

I'm ordering bulbs and rubbers now, I should get both kinds of bulbs?

I've got the flipper rubbers and the slingshot ones but what should I get for the post between the flippers at the bottom and the one white one at the top of the upper playfield? the manual is not too clear on those. It's the one above the "10 elektra units" light on my third picture.

pinballlife.com has some awesome prices

I can't seem to find the flipper rubber on pinballlife.com, they all say the 533-3 but I need 533-1

grrr...

You guys are awesome, thank you so much. One more stupid question, if I may... What goes on the pin at the bottom there the two main flippers are? The manual doesn't say

What size balls do I get? I can't seem to find em on pinballlife

I ended up going through Marco Specialties, it was only slightly higher than pinball life and they're only one town over from me so I should get my stuff fairly quickly

I got the sound working, it helps if you plug the speaker into the board >_>

That background hum is probably the most annoying sound I've ever heard in my entire life. I played one game with it on and then I changed the sound settings from #3 to #2.

It sounds like the sound board could use a cap kit but that's a job for another day.

Can I adjust the background drone separately from the play field noises? I know I can adjust the speech separately. I'll try cleaning the pot in the door and I have a cap kit on the way for the sound board too.

I had set it to two, played a few games and then turned it off. When I turned it back on it was set to three again, did I do something wrong or is something broken?

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

Ready to buy your second pinball machine yet?

Yes and I've been looking, lol.

The roll over targets I circled are sticking, whats the best way to clean them?

I got it mostly leveled, left to right is perfect but I can only adjust the pitch to 5.0 with the levelers maxed. Otherwise it plays OK, sometimes the ball gets stuck in the loop on the left and on the upper playfield by the one way gate on the right. Sometimes it doesn't want to kick a ball into the shooter lane, like the mechanism that kicks the ball out gets weaker over time.
