Even though Im an AAB addict I couldnt pass this deal for $450.00. Playfield is near flawless backglass has no flaking at all. Cab is a 7+ to 8. Gonna clean it up and play away. Only has 45000 plays.

and here I thought this was the Bally one. Congrats anyway. Looks really clean.

#4 9 years ago

What a great looking game. Love the alternating color drop targets. Great price too!

#5 9 years ago

2014 seems to be the year of the Atlantis! Great pick up.

#6 9 years ago

I see I still have a lot to get used to in the EM section of the forum.

Ha-ha, yea, that's relatively low plays for a game that not only is nearly 40 years old, but that started it's life on location, unlike many of of today's pins that went straight to the collector's market!

#12 9 years ago

Really nice find. Wish mine looked so good.

#13 9 years ago

great score... i think you got one of the nicer ones i have seen

#14 9 years ago

Congrats! Enjoy!

Getting both a playfield and a backglass that nice is really saying something - congrats!

#16 9 years ago

I came in expecting to be jealous of a good deal, and you did not dissapoint! Nice score!

Oh when will people in California wise up and stop posting their EM wrecks on craigslist for 1500$???

#17 9 years ago

Nice game dude. Congrats!

#18 9 years ago

Heres some pics of cabinet. Not as bad as I thought.

Other than some good color match touch up with Testor's oil based Model paint, I wouldn't do anything with that cabinet. Looks great to me!

And sadly, that nice of an Atlantis in So Cal would be a $1500 game. At least pretty close to that.

#20 9 years ago

Like CactusJack says. Your machine is easily a 1500 dollars game and the most sought after 1970's Gottlieb wedge head. The only thing I would do is find a different coin door. It should be easy to find a used one that matches the patina of your game. Nice machine! Enjoy it!

Great find and enjoy!

Dan,

I have to disagree. That coin door is straight and not rusty. A razor blade will get the masking tape off and some Mother's Mag Polish and elbow grease and that coin door and coin bezel will be great.

#23 9 years ago

I'll give you $500 for it. Profit $50!

Nice find and yes, I'm jealous.

I guess I did not look at it good enough. I thought it was bent from someone trying to pry into it to steal money.

#25 9 years ago

Yup.....just blew it up and pry marks along the top and door does not look straight. If it were mine I would have a different door. They are not hard to find used.

#26 9 years ago

pry marks there for sure........

#27 9 years ago

I want to start collecting EM pinball machines.

#28 9 years ago

Nice find.

Can't wait to see some glass off playfield pics!

Nice work. What did you use to polish the coin door?

#34 9 years ago

Turtle wax rubbing compound and polishing compound

With a machine or by hand?

Beautiful Atlantis! One of the games I want and have never been able to find.

By hand. Got to get a buffer.

Take a good size crescent wrench, pinch the jaws down to the gauge on the edges of the coin door, and bend it back to straight. You will be able to bring that door into excellent shape.

Very Nice...... Good job with the pictures.

#41 9 years ago

450, steal on this game, congrats. Definitely one of the best wedgeheads.

They do seem to pop up more in the Midwest than the East/NE. I have two Atlantis games right now so I'll be selling one I picked up this summer.

#43 9 years ago

Wow, that playfield looks mint!! Did not see any wear on those pics.

Nice looking game. Congrats! I really enjoy mine. When I first got it, I thought it was going to be too similar to C37, but the rules are completely different. There are a few things about this game I love. For instance: hitting a blue and white drop at the same time scores 5000 points. That is just cool! Also, the target on/off roll-overs are unique and frustrating as hell sometimes!

#48 9 years ago

"Lucky" is the word that comes to mind. Congrats.

#49 9 years ago

Games like this are what need to be remade.

#50 9 years ago

Wow. I wish my playfield was as nice as that.

Awesome game. Tough. But awesome.

Congrats and enjoy.
