First of all, the best wishes for 2016 to all you pinball guru's.!!

Yesterday i picked up this nice machine in a pretty great condition.
It has some work ,some targets are broken so i'm gonna replace them all.
Gonna put a new mylar layer on the playfield etc etc..Backglass is in a great shape.

The mean part i'm very happy with is that all the docu and sheme's are there as well in mind condition.
Gonna place more pictures later on...

In the Netherlands its not a machine you see every day on the market, how about the U.S , just currious?
This is the EM version by the way.

NR EM is an awesome game pick one up that had been in a guy's basement for 15 years.
Very dirty, but will clean up nice. This is my first EM and will need work with switches.
PF will clean up real nice.

Got to love those spinners.

Found a little issue , score motor coil is burned, gonna try to find another one.

Question about the playfield, my other PBM (Gotlieb Fast Draw) has a printed playfield or so ,without any protection. (hard to clean also).

This one has a mylar protection on it, saw on some youtube video's they use compressed are to get the job done.
Is it a good idea to use this for the playfield , or do you recommend something else instead.?

Regards,

Patrick

That's one of the best early Bally's, very fun game and great artwork.

Nice find. Looks very original and complete w/the paper work. I don't see many of these anymore, especially the EM version.

Quoted from PatrickB:

That's not how to remove it..

You want to REMOVE the Mylar?

That's a super dangerous thing to do on an old Bally like that.

Unless you are going to restore and clearcoat the playfield, leave the Mylar in place, so it can continue to protect the playfield.

Clean the Mylar because it's dirty, or polish the Mylar surface?

A focused pic with the glass off would probably help.

I've had luck polishing mylar using a Mothers headlight resto kit.

Okay, here are some pics from the playfield..

If you zoom in the foto it looks like half circles.??

I see the circles, my Strikes and Spares has them also. They cannot be taken out, mine were through the paint. My recommendation is to leave it alone, you'll do more damage trying to get rid of them. Are the circles in the mylar or are they in the paint beneath? Your game looks great in the pictures...nice find.

Well, that was the question, perhaps they are in the paint beneath. So the mylar is placed after the pbm has been played for a long time.??
I dont know, does your's has a mylar protection on it.?

Thx for the positive reaction, been working on it for a while, Ordered for almost 300 Euro's parts
Cleaned,replaced/repaired a lot..
Stil waiting for the rest i bought from a pinside user.

No...my Strikes and Spared did not have mylar over the entire playfield. It does have it in front of the slingshots and the bumpers. Those are the only places that do not have the circles. It's my guess that the mylar was put on yours after the rings were in the paint. Just a guess....
