Ahh, right the new New England show. I don't get to the east coast much, and I hate traveling in the summer, so I'll likely not be doing Pintastic.

You really should think strongly about going there Rob. This will be a unique show, and New England is actually very nice in the summer. Hotel location is very sweet and the after party will be a blast.

Oh my god. I so want to post that on our site, but I bet Gary would kill me... We'd sell out in a heartbeat.

Quoting myself here, but I saw Gary last night and I told him that someone made us a promotional VIG video. I started it right at the end where the dude says, "DO YOU WANT TO BE A VEE AYE GEE?" and then hits watermelons with a sword. Gary laughed his butt off.

But yeah, it's not posted officially as a VIG promo

    Hey Rob,

Swing up to Lloyd's place April 4 & 5th the weekend before MGC
It's Pinball Circus and just a good hard stones throw from MGC!
Ok, 5 hour drive but whose counting?
We might need you and your soldering iron!

I'm Running Away to join the Circus!

I would truly love to do every show that exists, and greatly appreciate the offers and suggestions. I need to pick and choose what works for me though and I can't make them all.

Costs are always a factor, so east coast is less likely since it takes more to get there. There's also the length of the show, I'll never have the biggest booth at a show, but there is a lot for me to set up, and then of course tear down and pack up. At a two day show, I feel like I'm needing to start packing things up almost before I've even got completely set up. So most two day shows I'll not want to do simply for that.

The best shows for me are the longer ones that I can come in a day or two before the official start, set up, even get some work done/games fixed before the show actually begins. I sometimes even get to enjoy some of the show. Expo is a good example (maybe not for enjoying the show, but for optimal set up), I come in on Tuesday usually, and can be completely set up for the actual show opening on Thursday. I get a lot done, a lot of games and boards fixed, even before the show officially opens to the public.

I'll certainly look closer into doing some of these others.

Rob adds a lot to a show.

If you see him there. Buy some stuff. And thank him for helping make the show great.

At all the shows I'm going to be set up at this year, I'm offering my anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator install special. If you have a game at the show set up for free-play, bring me the board and anyPin and I'll install it with a socket, for free.

Or, if you don't have a game at the show for free-play, I'll install anyPin for $10. Just bring me your board and anyPin and I'll install a machined pin socket and the anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator.

Couldn't agree more. These guys who come out to a show invest a lot of time, money and hard work to get there, display all their stuff and work the event. If you love attending your pinball show, make absolutely sure that you thank those guys and also support them. If you need something, buy it from them. Those guys vending are the reason a show is able to happen. So support them so they come out every year.

That is an awesome deal Rob. Hope you do well at all the events you attend my friend. Thumbs up and WTG by you!

All I want to know is if you'll have beer in your booth at the Texas show.
