Here are the shows I'm planning on being set up at this year. A bit late posting this, some may get added, some may get dropped as things fall into place this year.

    Midwest Gaming Classic
    April 12-14th
    Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee WI
    http://MidwestGamingClassic.com

    Golden State Pinball Festival
    May 17-19th
Lodi Grape Festival Fairgrounds, Lodi CA
    http://GoldenStatePinball.org

    Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show
    May 31st-June 2nd
    Tacoma Convention Center, Tacoma WA
    http://NWPinballShow.com

    California Extreme
    July 27-28th
    Hyatt Regency Santa Clara
    http://www.CAExtreme.org

    Pinball Expo Chicago
    October 17-20th
    Westin Chicago Northshore
    http://PinballExpo.com

    Houston Arcade Expo
    November 16-17th
    Houston TX
    http://ArcadeCenter.com

I will be offering my arsenal of parts, mods, testers, tools, board and game repair, and of course, install of my anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminators.

    anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator Install-
For those bringing games to the show for others to enjoy in the free play area, I'm offering free anyPin install for the games you bring to the show. Bring me the board from the game, and your anyPin NVRAM, and I'll hand it back to you with a professionally installed RAM socket and no more batteries will ever be required for your game again.

I'll offer the same install for anyone bringing me their CPU at the show, but don't have it there in the free play area, for only $15.

    Board and Game Repair-
Everything is first come first served, no appointments. Not everything may get done at the show. If it doesn't get done at the show, it will be shipped back to you after it's finished. Priority will always go to games that are at the show. I usually get pretty swamped pretty quickly, so please don't bring me a board Saturday evening and expect it to be done at the show.

Currently Bally/Williams WPC boards will be done at these shows with the possibility of System 11 and DE/Sega boards done at the show depending on how busy I get. No sound boards will be done at shows.

All anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator installs will be done at the show.

One new and kind of cool thing I'm doing this year is Pinball Recycling. I'll have a bucket for folks to deposit their old, used, unwanted pinballs into. The balls will be assessed, really bad balls will go to a metal recycler. Some will go to home brew projects like large gumball machines, art projects and the like. The really exceptional ones may get sold as show souvenirs after being cleaned and polished up. All proceeds from any such sales will go to Taro's Legacy Fund charity.

"some may get added".......how about Pinball at the Zoo???????

    #4 5 years ago

Coming to Texas as a regular attendee?

    #5 5 years ago

Looking forward to seeing you in California, Rob!

    #6 5 years ago

GSPF is always a good time and is only getting better.

PatZ is a possibility, I'm still trying to cut back on shows, so I'm not quite sure just yet.

Undecided on attending Texas right now.

As for ball assessment, if someone is OK with their balls being recycled, or run through a gumball machine, I guess I'd have to consider on a case by case basis.

Antar doesn't get to set the schedule just yet, he's only seven months old after all.

His training is going very well though, so he'll definitely be accompanying me in my travels.

Dick. I was going to buy you beer for the weekend.

    #11 5 years ago

Yeah, calling me a dick is a good way to convince me to go.

    Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

... I was going to buy you beer for the weekend.

Now you're talking! But wait, are you talking Bryan Kelly beer, or real beer? This may be the deciding factor.

free, so does it really matter?

    #13 5 years ago

Hmmmm...well, since I'm actually not much of a drinker, yes it definitely matters. When I do drink, I want to drink something I enjoy.

You so funny. This story seems to change the more time passes.

Just so I'm not pulled into your beer smuggling crime syndicate, and as a refresher for your ageing brain...you asked me if you could store some beer in my booth for the show. I didn't see any problem with it, and wasn't aware at the time, that the hotel was confiscating outside beer.

I also had no idea when you said "some beer" that you meant a literal hotel luggage cart full of beer.

Does Deb know you're such a bad influence on the younger generation of pinheads?

Arcade expo banning. Money to be made there.

I hope you go there, as an attendee if not a vendor. Best of luck 2019 and beyond.

Im not sure I've seen a harder working guy at shows. Ever.

    #27 5 years ago

I've heard nothing but good things about the Banning Arcade Expo. Maybe I'll make it there in the future.
