Definitely love the show, love the area, love the people, and would love to be there again. Just need to work some things out before committing.

I'd absolutely love to do all the shows, but's it's a lot of work, and still a lot going on for me personally, so I'll do what I can, but won't be able to do as many as previous years.

Show special where I set up is $15 if you just bring the board and anyPin, free if you have a game at the show for others to enjoy.

Still hoping to see you in Atlanta for the SuperFudge sometime (SFGE - Southern Fried Gameroom Expo, but I'm calling it SuperFudge from now on) sometime, would be a great addition.

With shows fast approaching (time just goes too fast these days), I wanted to update with a couple of changes I'll be making, and clarify what I can take in at a show.

To help streamline things and consolidate loading the vehicle, I'm going to offer on site repair of only WPC boards. Ninety+ percent of the boards I get in for repair at shows are WPC. It just doesn't make sense to carry around the fixtures for other systems if I'm not using them. I'll accept all boards at shows, but will ship back anything that doesn't get fixed at the show.

This of course doesn't apply to entire games that are at the show, just boards brought in. It also doesn't apply to anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator installs. I'll still be offering my $15 show special for anyPin installs on any board, or free installs for games that are at the show for others to enjoy.

I will not repair sound boards at shows. If you've ever tried to have a conversation with your buddy standing next to you at a show, with all the games blasting and (show dependent) music blasting in the background, you understand why. If I can't hear the sound board, it makes repair a bit difficult. Boards with battery leakage also will not be repaired at shows, it's just too time consuming to do properly at a show.

I look forward to seeing everyone, first show is the Texas Pinball Festival, quickly becoming one of the biggest and best shows in the country. If you've never been, get those days off lined up, the rental car and/or flight booked, and have a great pinball weekend!!

PS - Had a blast hanging out with you at MGC. Looking forward to seeing you again at PAGG.

    #29 8 years ago

Still wish we could talk you into coming to SFGE in June, Atlanta, GA. Gonna be a hell of a show.

    #30 8 years ago

is there any chance for PATZ next weekend?????????

    Quoted from shimoda:

That's a pretty tough commute for him - Seattle to Atlanta in less than a week... Remember that includes loading, unloading, etc. Plus he does service calls in the areas he travels to so that makes it tougher as well.

I know SFGE is a great show and I hope to make it there one of these years myself!

SFGE I'd definitely love to do and will definitely consider it in the future.

Rob, definitely going to miss you next weekend at PATZ, my wife always like seeing you and your puppy. Might save me some money this year.. NOT. Hopefully next year.

    #37 8 years ago

dont forget to add that other one we talked about

granted you will be there as a player more than a vendor, but I am guessing you will still have some parts on you in case they are needed
    Looking forward to it already!!!!!

    #38 8 years ago

I always enjoy PatZ and will definitely miss going this year.

Hilton-I'm legally obligated to carry parts and tools with me everywhere. The new tool case is already loaded with tools and ready, since you broke my last one.

Also very much looking forward to it!

Hey Rob, sent ya an email today...got a Sorcerer MPU I am hoping you can diagnose and repair at Pin-a-Go-Go. Not sure if I have bad ROMs or what. See ya in next week!

    #44 7 years ago

Would you consider coming to the Grand Ole Gameroom Expo in Franklin, TN in November? It will be the area's first expo!

    #45 7 years ago

I can do limited testing on System 9 boards at shows. I mostly stick with WPC and sometimes System 11 boards at shows these days. Depends how busy I get, and what boards come in. I can always take anything with me and ship back though.

Crash- A Tennessee show could work with my schedule, being so close to St Louis and all. Have whoever's in charge of that email me.
