Terry's prices always seem pretty fair to me. It is what it is. $30 seemed like a steal for this. $60 is painful enough that guys like me (frugal, own a machine with a perfectly functional copy) won't rush out to buy one "just because".

Wow and another 18 bucks for the windows, looks like the one I have that has a small melted spot on it is staying on the pin. My main problem is more in line of the price being double what it was a month ago. Talk about inflation!

It's because the cost for use of the copyrighted image increased. It wasn't because of the dealers.

Yeah I'm not replacing mine with one that looks the same. I wish the painted ones were still for sale. I asked Terry to email me when they were for sale on his site. No email, now no more painted ones. Thanks for the email Terry.

However backalley is offering to paint ships. I forget the price he quoted but it is fair and worth it if you like the paint job. check his website to see what they look like. then you can coordinate with him and mail him your ship.

I myself just wanted a new ship since mine is melty and the windows aren't the best shape. Worth it for me, honestly for a machine worth $4k+ i'm not going to scoff @ $100 for something very visible.

Someone is flipping the painted borg ships on ebay for $400.
