On Saturday I made the hike from Buffalo to the Church of the Silverball in Mississauga. What a great place! Mike and Christine who run the place were both extremely nice. Definitely check it out if you have the chance.
Anyways, coming back to the US, I had to go through the "no non-sense" border interrogation. I'm always nervous, even though I have no reason to be. However, when the border crossing guard asked what I was doing in Canada and I mentioned pinball, his face and demeanor instantly changed (take into consideration this was 1am and I was driving back alone). I could see a smile creep over his face as he was trying to make sense of it all. Telling a border crossing guard you drove 2 hours to play pinball is something you just can't make up
By the end he was smiling and asked if they had TAF at the place I went. I told him no, but that they had a TZ. He smiled again and said, "Ah, I remember that one", and let me go. It was the smoothest, quickest encounter I've ever had coming back into the country.
