I picked up a Bobby Orr power play machine that has the " PROFESSIONAL" conversion kit installed. It is a new backglass, playfeild overlay and stickers on top of the plastics. To convert it back I would need a playfeild and backglass.
What do you think?
Leave it or try to convert back?

If you convert it back I'll buy the professional backglass. That's funny cool.

I don't know how many "professional" are out there as I'm very unfamiliar with this kit. If not rare, I would go back to Bobby Orr.

It's pretty rare, at least in the US.

I think I've only ever seen 2 or 3 for sale in the past 5 years.

I don't think it was a terribly popular conversion.

Considering everything that you would need to convert it back, I don't think I would bother with the effort--You'd need to redo the cabinet (or find another one), find a playfield, and find a backglass. If at least one of those three things was still original, I'd give it a "maybe", but with all three--you'd basically need a whole new game.

I'd say just try to find another bobby orr that is still actually a bobby orr, and leave this conversion as is.

I’d leave it as is, what an interesting piece. There are plenty of Bobby Orr’s out there but you never see these.

Based on ForceFlows comments, I change my recommendation to leave it as is. Good info and rationale.

Maybe do up the cabinet to match the rest of the artwork.

It's pretty ugly but I'd leave it as it is. Maybe sell it to someone/organization that does a lot of tournaments?
