This thread is to document a BoP Resto that is not for sale. I do have access to another machine and am on the list for another Brunner pf, so if interested in purchasing a similar machine, just PM me.
Here is the starting point. A reimport, decent shape, been in storage for about 15 yrs.

Previous owner attempted mylar removal, and ran into trouble.

Won't be a problem, as new Buthamburg pf is going in.
    Beautiful.

Lower cabinet stripped, decals from PPS on the way. Going to do a slight custom (inside cabinet) color scheme.

Old pf on the rotisserie, will start removing and cleaning this week.

Started in on the lower cabinet.
I wish all decals came off like this. I set it in the sun for an hour or so, hosed it down with aerosol paint remover, waited a few minutes, and just peeled this side off.
    Other side, not so easy..

A little xylene applied with a disposable brush and scrape with razor blade to remove the old decal adhesive.

Earlier I said PPS, but once they got here, I realized it was Bay Area Amusements. I shopped around, and they had the best price for licensed decals.

    #17 6 years ago

    Don't worry...

    Quoted from Marcdaddy:

    Wow this is looking amazing!!!!!

    Thank you.

    #28 6 years ago
    Quoted from mollyspub:

Your moving along quickly! Why not paint the entire inside of the cabinet black?

I could, but that seems a bit too easy. I like the contrast of a bit of custom work. Let me know what you think once things are in place.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

    Looks great man. Following.

    Thanks, Paul.

Harness cleaned and installed (with wiring for new Brightmods flipper buttons), new power cord, shooter assby, polished up prop rod.

    Your just to dang fast.

I had a free weekend, and beer in the fridge. Things are going to get done.

    #39 6 years ago

Pf harness moved to new pf. Flippers got new bushings, switches, stops, sleeves, links, and bats. They will feel like new.
Put LEDs in all light boards.

Went to mount the legs today, and realized I was out of the Stern style cabinet protectors. I made these from a piece of mild steel angle. Should do the trick.

Got her up on all fours today...

I hear ya. I left that softball up there to see who would take a swing..
All black lower cabinet shows a lot of dust, spiderwebs, etc. Nothing wrong with a little color.
    Thx for feedback.

    #49 6 years ago

Current state. New pops, new ramps.
Cleaning the face cube, I'll put that in tomorrow.

Agreed. Needs some more lighting there.

    #53 6 years ago

Face cube in, blue nips in (with red flashers below).
    Mini pf tomorrow.
Face cube ball guides getting the retrobrite treatment.

I would much rather have original faces, as this is a very nice example. A simple cleaning and slight polish, and these pieces are beautiful. No doubt about it.

    #58 6 years ago

Thank u. Ordered. Much rather buy new pieces.

    #59 6 years ago

I did the retrobrite treatment on the face guides and a few of the pf clear plastics. Here's the before.

And after 2 full days in the July sun.
Face guides junk. Pf plastics good.
    Very good.

Actually, I think the beer to peroxide ratio is approximately 100 to 1. I may need more research to finalize my study.
