Agreed. Needs some more lighting there.

I have a red Comet Crystal Fan bulb back there but it could use a little more. I put that in before Comet came out with their 7 led strips. It's soooo hard to get back there with the pf still in the game.
I would much rather have original faces, as this is a very nice example. A simple cleaning and slight polish, and these pieces are beautiful. No doubt about it.
Retro bright on the acrylic plastic? I've heard of it working on computer cases but I've never read about anyone using it to restore yellowed acrylic. It will be interesting to hear how that turns out.
I tried the retrobrite method and it made them 50% better.
Did you know you can get new guide set from Little Shop Of Games for $20?

They fit perfectly.
Actually, I think the beer to peroxide ratio is approximately 100 to 1. I may need more research to finalize my study.

Coors? Just Kidding
I have a BOP, and a Buthamburg PF that I plan on doing a full restore like you are doing (a few months from now). Thank you for posting all of the steps you are taking and the pics!!!!
"Salon Care 40 Volume... Same Legendary Taste"
I got to play it today and hit the Billion Jackpot shot!! This is the nicest machine I have ever seen, I am so glad my good friend had you restore it!!!
I was super pleased to take this home on Friday. Jjsmooth did a great job on this one. His work is excellent. He's not one of those guys who thinks you throw $50 in LEDs at a machine and add $1,000 to the price. This is a quality machine. If you ever need a restore, check out Jerry and take a look at this thread. Custom touches like matching the cabinet interior to the art, excellent LED selection, replacing the right parts that make the best impacts. Check out the chromed helmet! He'll also take weird requests, like "let's change those red domes out to make them look less nipply for the family" and "let's add Brite Buttons."
Great to work with.
High quality.
Solid choices.
Thank you, Scott. Enjoy the BoP.
Thank you for the trust to make it happen.
Hope to work with you again,
Jerry

This is what I love about Pinside, good people helping good people.
I have just gotten word that I can expect another Brunner pf in the coming months. If anyone is interested in a similar BoP, PM me, as I will be starting another soon.
Jerry
Late to the party, but damn, this is an amazing restoration! Great job and I love the purple color inside. Sets it apart!
