Quoted from ForceFlow:I kinda want one just to set aside for later for when I finally acquire a BOP. Do some of you guys end up doing this sort of thing--start collecting hard-to-find parts for a pin you really know that you want to own at some point?
yes !... i purchased monster bash sideboard decals from another pinside member. monster bash is on my wish list.
Quoted from RandyV:Peter replied that he cannot send the pfs out uncoated. He did not say why. So that's that.
He also said he was almost done preparing the next batch of pfs and is hoping to be ready to start printing by Wednesday. So they are moving ahead..
Thanks for the updates...keep them coming!
the first batch is spoken for from the pps forum. you can still go to the pps site under pre-reserve items.
Quoted from 500VDC:To get the thread back on topic
Received an email from Peter today! One more sanding operation, + one more clear coat. Then they need to sit until the 18th before he can pack and ship it.
Good to hear!
Matt
cant wait to get mine !
Quoted from ToucanF16:RandyV and 500VDC, you guys got notice you're in this batch? Anyone else get notice?
Guess I'm in like WeirPinball and didn't make the cut...
im guessing these guys got theirs from peter directly as ive made the 1st batch list from PPS and havent heard anything yet.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Now that you have yours hows the clear coat and how is it holding up?
glad you asked... not that this is peter fault but, after only a few plays i can see what look like fine hairline scratches only in bright light and certain angles in the clear. i waxed the playfield with 3 coats before install and used new balls. anyone with any thoughts ???
Quoted from 85vett:Just stumbling across this thread again. I asked Peter about this when my PF was first shipping. He advised to let it sit a couple of weeks and that it should be fine.
As for the clear, I don't have any scratches in mine as of yet. It seems to dimple worse than my other games but I think that is just a factor or the clear being so shiny it's easier to see it. I wouldn't consider there to be any issues with the PF at all. I'll have to be honest though and say that I have maybe 50 plays on my machine since I restored it so if there were any issues I may just not have got to that point yet. BOP 2.0 has been such a disappoint to me (for it's cost) at this point I haven't felt the desire to play it. The game plays great, the sounds are awesome and the animation are cool too, it's just way to easy to progress through all the modes and right now the modes are way to repetitive for me to be entertained. I'm hoping that with the final release of the code that it will spark my interest, otherwise the game will be posted for sale.
really suprised to hear that. especially with all the time and effort you put into your restore. i really enjoyed your thread ! hope the updated code will change your mind !
