This is a 'gotcha' problem.

I can't think of any other black microswitch in pinball that is wired normally closed. Bride of Pinbot's head position is the only one.

So it's to your credit that you carefully wired this correctly.

That you second guessed your work, wired it wrong, and then went back and wired it right is just part of Bride Of Pinbot. That's a very common repair story on this machine.
