I've been 3D printing for almost a year now and am finally forcing myself to learn how to model. Here's a preview of my first model, almost ready to print

Pretty sure those are add-on protectors from Cliffy's.

I hadn't thought about that yet. I was too cheap to order the $50 option from ebay!

Hi

After restoring an old bride of pinbot playfield with an overlay and transferring all the playfield parts, I am left with one part leftover which I can't figure out where it goes. It is possible it is just a random part that I had on hand, but I wanted to inquire on this forum. Does anyone recognize this part and if so, where does it go?

Thanks
jlppin

Looks like it’s to the left of the wireform

Thanks Mollyspub

I thought it might have something to do with the light cover by the wireform, since that is the last part I replaced on the top of the playfield, but for the life of me I couldn't see how.

What is a good replacement speaker for the bottom cabinet? I'm not lookup for anything fancy, just something that sounds good that will drop in without modifications. My old one actually sounds good but looks awful.

This is what ships with the 2.0 kit. Sounds incredible imo.

The one I pulled out was 8 ohm 20W though

Does it drop in without a bracket?

Direct replacement size wise. Wattage rating is higher

Anyone ever restore their bride using a silver powder coat of some kind? I don't want to do chrome, or black (as i don't want the purple + black combo). I'm kind of resigned to doing new steel, except I love the feel of the powdercoating.

Anyone?

Some of the specialty shops can do clear or a translucent. I would check into that if your just wanting the feel

I just upgraded to 2.0 and that speaker practically doubles as a shaker motor.

Thinking about upgrading to 2.0. Where are people finding kits?

Dutch Pinball announced a limited run last September and that's when I put my order in. They only just shipped earlier this month. I'm not sure if they intend to make any more but you can contact them on this page:

My Bride is naked and headless at the moment. Took a couple weeks off of work to give her the royal treatment. She is getting a repaint, new decals, backglass and playfield.

If I'm just replacing the cabinet speaker with a modern day equivalent do I need to use the capacitor? I am thinking I do considering how Williams did things but would like some confirmation.

My guess: It‘s a low pass filter.

Got her all primed and ready to go. Tomorrow will be black if the weather holds out. Then purple on Friday.

Well it was black Thursday and purple Friday. Not sure why I painted it head to toe because I'm installing Rad-Cals. Hopefully they won't fight me to much this weekend.

Rad-cals look good so far and I haven't pulled the protective film yet. Who knew there was red on BoP. My cabinet certainly didn't have any left.

I need a new receiver. The old one has a lot of miles on it. Does anyone know if the stainless no spring one at Mantis Pinball will work for BoP? It looks close.

Thanks once again for the kind offer but the seller ended up really easy to deal with and sent the item to my Shipito address in CA. Just added the part to my machine last night...i couldn't resist getting the purple version This was the only part i couldn't get for my full restore so the circle has closed finally.
These fit really nicely!!

Cabinet is done. I still need to drop in the new backglass and paint one piece of trim. Moving on to the playfield now.

I would think that date is pretty much what we use in the military, last 2 digits of the year followed by the Julian Date...you can use the below attachment to convert the date. 1991, 27 May...I am not certain but I don't think 91 was a Leap Year.

I'm tempted to seek out a BOP. Is there any problem with finding parts for this game? And what are some of the common issues with this game?
I was watching a YouTube video of someone fixing the brides rotating head, and it looked like it was a bitch to get it working again.
Thanks in advance
Ralph

No concerns there. Most parts are readily available. The head is reliable and works well. Most issues with it are related to switch adjustments or old/cracked solder joints on the motor and relay boards that can easily be reflowed.

catch pan under the head is unobtainable if it is missing, which is way more common than you would think. skill shot rubbers aren't available but really should never go bad, but if you wanted new ones forget it.

Mantis makes that now. No longer an issue.
