Are any of you guys using the lamp chaser board designed for leds? I have one, but haven’t installed it yet. There were posts about it in the non 2.0 club and it looked like it solved some of the weird lighting issues with the helmet and leds. I’m unsure how it applies to 2.0 just yet.

Quoted from mavantix:

Are you talking about pellew 's board here? https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bop-helmet-control-for-use-with-leds/
I have it in my BoP 2.0 and it works fine as far as I can tell!

I want this so bad!! If there's anything I can do here or on pindev to help make this reality, please let me know!

Yeah, pellow’s board is what I was talking about. I haven’t played 2.0 in depth at all, and I still haven’t installed my 2.0 Kit.

Quoted from Snux:

I just heard that DP and Pinsound have come to an agreement which permits the improved sound package for 1.0 (and a few other 1.0 fixes) to be released. DP are going to be building another batch of 2.0 kits, so this is great timing! I'm not sure yet about timing for updates on existing machines as that will need some testing, but we'll be working with DP to get that sorted out.

That's great news! Thank you for the update.

I'd like to know more about the amp and wiring - I still have my 2.0 kit from a couple years ago sitting NIB on a shelf.

#2737 2 years ago
Quoted from Colehvac1:

The kit is not that difficult to install, but you do need some technical expertise, you wont be disappointed with the 2.0 game or kit once installed.

I’m fine with the install, I just see that the soon to be released 2.0 vs my original 2.0 kit has a difference in wiring and amplifiers. I’m just wondering what the actual difference is.

At this point - Why though? It has a full PC.

Quoted from KoenHeltzel:

It's just using the Pinsound software, not any added hardware.

Ah, I see! Thank you for the clarification - I wasn't aware that pinsound software was a thing.

Quoted from CoinGuyNinja:

Top left is the new dedicated board for speakers and sub. No wires hooked up in this photo btw[quoted image]

Thanks for sharing! That looks like a way better solution than the external amp.

I haven't installed my kit yet and have the old amp. Anybody know where Dutch Pinball is sourcing these from? Is there a revised installation manual someone could share?

#2917 2 years ago
Quoted from CoinGuyNinja:

Installation manual is basically the same except there are instructions on how to mount the new sound board and the 3 wires to the speakers vs mounting the external amp. Pretty self explanatory in that regard.

Right on. Does it end up using cabinet power instead of a separate power supply? Are there any manufacturer details on the board?

Thanks again

Quoted from dscapo:

Reminds me… does anyone else here get notifications to update antivirus on theirs?!

You should be able to turn that off by exiting to windows, and using a mouse to go to:
-Control Panel > System and Security > Action Center > Change action center settings
-<turn off the notifications>

Alternatively, you could completely disable the security center:

-Copy/paste the text below into notepad
-Go to File> Save as> disable-securitycenter.reg
-Change the "Save as type" to all files or it will append .txt to your file
-Copy the resulting .reg file to your BoP computer and then run it
-Reboot the machine for the changes to take effect

Quoted from The_Director:

Has anyone had their 2.0 boot up like this? What was the solution?
[quoted image]

You’re computer has defaulted to trying to boot using UEFI, but Win7 wants standard BIOS
