Quoted from Pdxmonkey:

Just recieved a mirrored backglass to replace the Translite from CPR.
Looks absolutely incredible

I have the bg also and it's beautiful.

Quoted from awarner:

The Korn released a video of the new "Video Game" mode that will be added to BOP 2.0. In addition, Scott D. will be selling a board that will cut power to the flippers so when you go into video mode, the flippers stay quiet. Check out the video here: » Vimeo video
Also, when you watch the video, look at the upper left of the screen. That's the Tilt cam. A webcam is in the game to let you know you're shaking it too much. How cool is that?

I have BOP and am thinking about 2.0 but that video mode looks pretty lame if you ask me. Why do they have a car? Why don't they have the Shuttle flying through space shooting astroids while dodging something. Just sayin.

Quoted from awarner:

OT: I still have one for sale for $200 shipped/insured to the 48 states and includes lift channel and surround protection. Shipped in original box and was only in my game for 45 minutes. PM to buy.
Thanks,

Dang that's a GREAT deal.

Quoted from mayuh:

http://www.twitch.tv/flippart/v/17547513 at the 56 minute mark... Sorry I played so bad and gave up pretty quick... 2.0 is way more attractive
Btw, I think of redoing my cabinet for 2.0. What do you think of this design?

image.jpg image_1.jpg

That is beautiful, I have a restore planed along with a new pf and these would look perfect on it. BB and coin door too I take it. I like the second one best.

Put me on the list.

I just returned from my friend, the printing guy. Damn. They are frigging awesome. Really, never seen so accurate colors. And I didn't do a thing, didn't even convert it to CMYK. Wow!

CPR has the new plastic set for sale.

#1138 8 years ago
Quoted from burningman:

thought I would post this here since some of us are doing other things to our 2.0's as well.
Anyone know where to find a set of CPR BOP Faces?

Marco, $89

Thanks Paul....just ordered them last night....

Excellent. I love spending other peoples money like that.

Heard that second batch will ship this week or next

OHHH BOYYY.

#1167 8 years ago
Quoted from mayuh:

3D (lenticular) translites for all Williams machines

Ohhhh I'd like that for BOP. I'm in for one.

Quoted from mayuh:

on a side note, I just applied the test prints on hard foam for some wall hangers. It was easy as pie. I love them...

That's what I'm doing too.

#1169 8 years ago
Quoted from floyd1977:

I'm debating all of this myself. I'm hoping to get in on the 3rd playfield rerun. If that happens, I'm considering new plastics and protectors. The original plastics on my game are fine (no breaks or cracks), but I have a feeling they're going to look old and dull against a new playfield.

and don't forget to get a new mini pf, that makes a great diff. too.

#1177 8 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

I'm going to redo my BOP 2.0 as well. I had Mayuh's artwork printed and it looks incredible. I got a set of Mike Chestnut chrome side rails but they are the WPC type, not the System 11 type because he can't plate those. I also have the lock-down bar in Chrome as well as the hinges.
I plan to shop the playfield again but this time put on the CPR plastics that have come in since I originally shopped it. Normally, I would be a year or two from shopping it, but it did attend two pinball shows last year and has picked up a lot of dirt. There is also a light out on the skill shot that is not the bulb.
It's gonna be awesome! I'll post pictures as soon as there are some.
-Al-

I think chrome is a natural for this game.

Quoted from NinJaBooT:

I've been working on a few things on my BOP. The apron drives me crazy how bad it clashes with the rest of the game. I think this really compliments the game. I'm having them printed on magnets or decals for easy installation and removal. The magnets are slick!
IMG_4841_(resized).JPG
FullSizeRender_(resized).jpg

Yeah that does look great, I like the magnet idea. How much will you charge if you sell them? Got any idea how the colors match a new pf? Would a shooter cover come with it? If not to expensive I'll be your first sale.

#1238 8 years ago
Quoted from NinJaBooT:

There is a shooter cover included. Its is shown in the picture. I am waiting for a sample magnet to come in the mail. The above pic is a decal I had printed to ensure size and colour. I'm not sure how the grey will match up with the new playfields I had a tough time matching it to the original. If some has a pantone book I can adjust the colour although I think it should be fine. The rest of the colours shouldn't be a problem. I also got designs for FT, WW, and The Shadow. I'm working on a bunch more as well. I'm working on some BOP 2.0 decals that I think are sure to impress. I've been working on these for a while. A lot of work went into these. All artwork is original.
The magnets are 50 US plus shipping and decals are 40 US. I'm just waiting on getting my first order from my printer.

Good price, I'll take a magnet. PM me when ready. Space Station would be another one I'd buy if the pf would let you get a good design like BOP.

Now ya need beatmasters shooter light up in purple.

#1257 8 years ago
Quoted from mayuh:

The more I look at the installed decals, the more I can't live with the red start button. I guess I need to order a transparent purple lit one. Does anyone know, if those are available? I couldn't find any.

On ebay look up Angle Eye metal button, I put a blue one on my game. You need a 22mm one. I had to hog out the hole on the inside of the cab about half way to the front of the cab because the button isn't long enough to go all the way through. Look for my pictures in the Non 2.0 club. It looks like the game should have come with it, got the idea from beatmaster.

Quoted from pin-pimp:

Ok I need advise,
My kit has been nothing but a PIA, resets, won't work, you name it it's there.
Scott and Dutch and pinball life have been great helping me try to get through it.
Sent back computor for testing, test is good,
Request made to send back the other 2 boards, cables and harness.
Sent last Monday February 1
Tracking info says dropped off at front desk on feb 5 at noon.
Box is not there, nobody saw it, nobody can find it
Still looking, nothing
They looked, nothing
Call made to PO near location and supervisor talked to on phone.
He calls back, says delivery guy dropped it off at wrong address.
Scott goes there and inquires, thanks again Scott for your help. You have been great!
They say no box was dropped off there
Another call made to local PO, the guy says he talked to carrier and now carrier magically claims no memory of any box last Friday.
I ship 10,000 plus boxes a year from my company using USPS, never a issue.
So I'm stupid to trust them I guess and do notbuy extra insurance for box.
Now I have no kit, what is value? Is it even replaceable? Prob not.
Who pays for this ?
Box would only have the normal $50 insurance so filing a claim seem pointless
I would think ok this is my fault but the PO supervisor admitted they lost the box, admitted it was delivered to wrong address now like magic claims no knowledge of it? bs I say.
So I'm screwed only hoping it shows up someplace sometime.
I know pinball life uses USPS every day and and I find it very hard to believe the local carrier could deliver it to the wrong address. They are very well known company.

That's horrible. That delivery guy needs to be fired.

Quoted from burningman:

I hate these types of issues. Here is shot of where I am dealing with a stuck ball.
I have already snugged the gate bracket as close as I can on the top of the starpost..... If I bend the gate up enough for the ball to roll down the sling, the ball can sneak under the gate and back down the shooter lane. If I put a larger rubber on the sling it creates a deeper well for the ball to hang up in. considered relocating the starpost, considered drilling the gate bracket to snug it up to the starpost, and also thought of just making a new gate wire. Whats my best option?

ball_stuck_(resized).JPG

Hmmmm I've never had a ball get stuck there.

Quoted from awarner:

So did anyone get "The Skinny" on whether kits are shipping soon or not?

Who you callin Skinny....Fatty. Sorry I just had to do it. I haven't heard anything.

#1569 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

Finally at the "Install new art" phase of my newly rebuilt cabinet. The head is from Addams Family and I plugged two of the "Lightning Holes" but not the center one so I can power the Laseriffic topper through it.

And you might notice that some of the hardware is already installed but there are no bolt holes. I filled all of the external bolt holes (except the hinge) and replaced with screws. This means that the outside art will have no bolts. I also had a friend route the front edge for Chrome T-Moulding. Incidentally, I didn't copy the other poster who did that, it was already routed when he posted the pic. I saw it on a Stern High Roller Casino and thought it might be cool.

Now that's the way to go. Lookin goooood.

Where can someone get the new cabinet decal art for BOP 2.0 - what I am seeing looks awesome and I am finishing my 2.0 upgrade I would love do do the cabinet at the same time.
I can pay if necessary the art is great and worth contributing to keep supporting the pinball restoration community.

Look in past posts for pictures and info.

#1653 7 years ago

Did you cut the decals around those protectors?

4 weeks later
#1695 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

Cleaned the playfield, waxed it, cleaned the rubber. Yesterday, it got a new head motor and rollers un-seized and lubricated.

All of the assemblies are ready to go with the new plastics:

I had previously did the cabinet and last week got most of the cabinet assemblies installed:

2.0 Additions in THIS picture...

Not rushing, but I'm getting there.

Lookin fine. I see you went with the HD corner braces, I'm gonna do that too. You gonna get a pf protector? I've been thinking about it for my new pf.

#1697 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

This is a bastard cabinet. A friend gave it to me. It's the bottom from a Whitewater and the head from an Addams family. The lower back was cut off of it so it could have it's bottom replaced. I did that and fixed the back and it looks pretty good. The bottom speaker is getting moved to... My side rails are for a WPC game so it will be consistent with WPC-89 cabinet style. Lots of chrome on this one. The TAF head HAD three holes in it but now it has one. That will let the cable for the topper go through. I got the bulk of the plastics on tonight. Now for Ramps and such. The playfield is an original DiamondPlate and I didn't want to change it.

A real Frankinpin.

Quoted from awarner:

The fact that there's no lower speaker or coin door is NOT a coincidence though...

Custom air brushed coin door?

#1742 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

Actually, a 12" speaker as a coin door - But don't tell anyone, it's a secret!

I can't tell if that's a joke or not. It could turn out to be a new form of birth control for males especially if it's a powered sub.

#1749 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

Yeah, the shooter goes right into the edge of the playfield. I HAVE a plan!

I know....a Ray Gun shooter handle, just pill the trigger to shoot the ball..

#1752 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

I was busy last night:

It was a little scary using a jigsaw to cut the hole bigger. I used a Dremel sanding tool to smooth it out. It worked good.

But you did it and it works. Is there anything you can do about that decal wrinkle around that bolt head?

#1765 7 years ago
Quoted from awarner:

A couple of additions. Lit Start button and the coin door buttons are back.

Very nice. from your first picture I can see you need the show quality chrome leg bolts. sc93cobra has them for $3 each. I don't know if they are the longer ones but it looks like you could use the longer ones.

#1778 7 years ago

Quoted from 85vett:

Clip some of the zip ties on the harness and do some minor re-routing and that space opens up quite nicely. Probably not worth the effort unless you are OCD like me. I re routed a lot of wires when I did my restore to try and clean things up under the hood.

VERY neat.

Quoted from jsa:

I went to install the BoP 2.0 kit today. I was making great progress when I realized my kit doesn't have a power supply for the display.
Can someone give me the specifications for the power of the display? I emailed CoinTaker but I'm obviously anxious to try to get this thing working.

You could always buy a 2 or 3 amp 12v wall wort and plug it into the service 110 outlet in the cab. You'd have to plug and unplug it for use but it would also not be a strain on the game power board doing it that way.

#1915 7 years ago
Quoted from jsa:

Being the tech hoarder that I am, I found a 12v 1.5amp wall wort and gave it a shot, and it worked.

For people without the 12/5v connector under the shooter rod on Stern games that's how I have them hook up my Leg Light-Ups. Very low tech and easy to install.

Looking to replace the trim on mine. Trying to decide between all chrome, including coin door or purple/blue trim? Here is the purple blue trim I am considering. Have the 2.0 cab decals on mine.
